don't waste your time and $$$ on "The Grudge"

Some friends and I rented the Grudge tonight. I think it sucked... it had no real plot and a very disappointing ending. I would NOT recommend it to ANYONE!

 

was that remake or the original? i have heard that the remake sucked the big one, but the original...dear god it was the scariest thing ever.

Yeah, that movie was crap.

 

I thought it was okay... I have Ju-on (the japanese version) but I havent watched it yet

 

watch it....it's quite good and quite eerie. everyone i've talked to who has seen both says it beats the pants off the remake.

The Grudge was horrible. Almost as bad as White Noise. It seems all these Japanese remakes suck. They simply throw in some scary looking CGI, and loud ambient noises that make you jump. After the first few jumps, its to predictible.

The originals on the otherhand I havent seen.

 

The original is supposed to be very good. But the remake, I really didn't like, I thought it was very predictable and at times I was tempted to turn it off because I was so bored lol

 

I've haven't seen either but the remake looks so dumb plus I don't like sarah michelle geller or what ever her name is, I just never thought she was a very good actress.
but I wouldn't mind checking out the original since most of you think its good.

 

the original grudge has to be seen with its sequel, so the shit bits in both are offset by the good bits
