Has anyone seen this movie?? This is probably my fav. movie of all time. Very well done, the references to Hitchock's "Vertigo" and "The Birds", etc. are great!! Mel Brooks was an avid Hitchcock fan, but had a great, dry sense of humor, may he rest in peace. I have wanted to see "The Producers", his last project, for a while. Now that Im in NY maybe I can gather a few ppl 2gether sometime to go c it!! Also, Madeline Kahn was so funny in this movie, I almost pee my pants every time I watch it, and Cloris Leachman as Nurse Diesel is f'n hilarious !! (As Farblukha in Young Frankenstein, as well)!! "Those who are tardy will not get fruit cup" LOL Anyone like this movie??
I watched it only the other day. Mel Brooks at his best I think. Up there with Blazing Saddles and the Producers. The best bit about it though is how much it resembles Hitchcock, the camera angles, the settings, the lighting levels, the costumes, everything about it shows that Brooks had really done his homework on Hitchcock's directing style. And it's great to see Hedley Lamarr given another outing too.
i love mel brooks sence i was littile, high anxeity is a great movie, i like the humor that brooks uses, the producers was probly my favorite, ahaha a play about hitler who would have thought, blazing saddles is a family favorite at my house they dont make comedy like they use to
