Treatment of Australian Aboriginees, where the Australian government would kill most of them, then with the remaining ones would steal the children from the parents and raise them in missions or adoptive homes, where they were still generally treated like shit.

my favorite is anybody's story about their ansestors being mistreated that suggests they should get somthing out of it. many african americans want some dough for the whole slave thing. A lot of jews want to get paid now for hitlers bad trip.

    I say pay 'em. Why?

cause im Irish and somebody owes me one helluva lot of potatos.

Mine is the story of lots of the eastern europeans after ww2, who fought for the USSR and what they thought would be freedom for their poeple only to return home and be shot by stalin's men. My grandad narowally avoided this fate.

The Spanish Civil War, especially the Americans who went voluntarily to help fight on the side of the republic (aka the liberals), many of whom died, only to return to the US and later be blacklisted by McCarthy for supporting a socialist cause.

Also the entire history of South America. They just keep getting screwed over. Even now they're not doing better, with shitty leaders like Chavez in Venezuela and Castro in Cuba and the complete lack of government in Bolivia. It's depressing.

complete lack of government? That's because there's a protaletarian movement in motion. Castro and chavez are the good leaders in latin america. The U$ is the imperialsit influence. And they have been for a long time. Ever ehard of allende? How come you support the socialists in spain but not in latin america?

Do you know anyone IN Latin America? I have a friend in Caracas who can't get food half of the time due to Chavez's piss poor planning. He's had friends shot in the streets by Colombian guerillas that invaded the Western borders of the country. He can't go back to his hometown because it's overrun by militants and so poverty striken that it's dangerous now.

And the Socialists in Spain was a COMPLETELY different topic. Not to mention that anyone would support the Republicanos (which were not by far all socialist btw) over Franco's Catholic facist rule. The PSOE in Spain now is socialist in the way that France and even Canada are "socialist"- universal healthcare, liberal social views, etc.

Actually i do know people in venezuela who say that chavez has helped them a lot. And is it chavez's fault if imperialsit forces invade his country because they despise socialism. And although the socialist party may have now sold out in spain in the 1930's the spannish people voted for a radical socialist government. Barcelona was full of hammer and sickles, red flags and anachy signs. But of course don't believe that, they were really jsut libreals.

The most vocal part of Spain at the time was Communists.. however the majority of the opposition to Franco was the moderates who may be a little left leaning, but not all of them were. Barcelona actually supported a completely different cause- a party for the separatist movement in Cataluna- but all the leftist groups joined together against Franco because their freedoms were being threatened. Madrid was the last bastion of Socialism/anarchy/Communism in Spain during the war, not Barcelona.

And it is COMPLETELY Chavez's fault for not protecting his country. I also wouldn't consider Colombian guerrillas to be "imperialist forces".
