I am an old hippie, but one that was a bit too young to fully participate in the days of Haight-Ashbury and Woodstock. Probably because I wasn't an active participant in those days I do remember them. These days I have a job, a family and a mortgage, but try to remain true to the basics...peace, the environment, simplicity and good old fashioned left wing values. I raise alot of our own food and a menagerie of pets. No animals for food. We live in the country and do not try to keep up with anyone except ourselves. I have a large variety of interests...gardening, reading, wildlife, wine, good food, history, dumpster diving, etc.
