i actually know alot about vitamins, but you should tell about your body or what your trying to do, so i can tell you what vitamins you should take
I personally don't like multi-vitamins. If you do your homework and develop a healthy diet you won't need them. Not that I always practise that. So I take a (gelatine free) multivitamin when necessary/I remember. TTFN Sage
Are you Vegan, or vegetarian? If you're Vegan, the one thing that you absolutely should be taking is a sublingual B12 supplement (the B12 absorption rate from a multi is so poor that you may as well not add B12 to the vitamin). Beyond that, I don't take any vitamins, but I did a ton of research, and I eat a very well-balanced whole grain diet that includes a lot of foods that most people don't eat on a regular basis (flax meal, a wide variety of fresh veggies and fruits in all colors, quinoa, amaranth, tofu with 20% per serving calcium content, steel cut oats, kamut, etc, etc.). If you tend to be more of a fast food veggie, you may want to consider taking a multi. IMO, nothing can replace a well-balanced diet, but a multi and a Taco Bell bean burrito is better than a Taco Bell bean burrito and no multi.
yeah B12 is key. I really have to remember to take this one, because I'm vegan and I do NO2 when I'm in the mood.
