If replying to an existing thread, ask yourself is what you are writing relevant to the thread. If not start a new thread. When starting a new thread keep it to one topic only.Start separate thread(s) as required.Remember this is a forum, not a soap box,so it is better to keep the first post of a new thread to a few sentences to see if anyone is interested. Write succinctly. If you want to write long essays,I suggest you activate the web space given to you by your ISP and post it in there. Then post a summary in a new thread with a link to your essay. If you think that someone has got something factually wrong ,by all means tell them, but remember it is possible to be sincere but polite at the same time. If you disagree with some else's opinion by all means tell them, but state why.Remember there is no such thing as a correct or incorrect opinion. Try to remember to proof read what you have written before posting. Have fun!
man you guys are arseholes, he didnt say anything mean to you and your laying into him... kids these days.
This post was posted after Mr.Soul who has not been here for a very long time wrote these great long posts that wandered all over the place that nobody could be bothered reading. He was another one of those Armageddon merchants. He essentially wanted to preach but not get into any real discussion. I think Taylor was calling Mr.Soul a post nazi not me - at least I hope so. BTW does anyone think that they could be a better mod than me?
Yeah your right it totally looks like half of you didn't even read what he had to say and you know what it''s people like yourselves who probably guided him to post this thread like he said there is no wrong or right opinion but there should alwasy be respect and you all have non thats just my opinion of course
Hahaha! Damn dude that sucks. Don't get so stressed out about this thread. Just do exactly what he tells you not to do and vice versa. It just makes posting just that little bit more fun! Come on! Authority is there so that you can screw around with it and have fun while doing so.
saying for us to have fun contradicts all the "rules" you listed... like.. fair enough giving us tips and shit. but telling us we cant write "essays"... i mean... why the hell not..
