Trees are meant to run free in the forest. They don't belong in backyards. They are messy little buggers and they don't care where they put their roots. Who knows if they are growing into your piping or putting strain on your foundation. Not to mention that they attract all sorts of other little buggers to live in their branches. Sure they provide shade and nice landscape but what happens when your neighbour comes and asks if he can cut the branches over his property? Then you have a weird looking tree with branches on one side. How cruel can you get?

My backyard is a forest, because I live in the boonies, across the road past the next house, thousands of trees and a nice big creek. I have a 200 year old tree in my back yard, its a BlackGum, it looks so ancient. And a 40 year old magnolia tree and 40 year old Oak, you know the kind of huge oaks u see in magazines that grow on southern plantations, yeah. We had another one that was older but it died from ants, stupid fucks.

I have a lemon tree growing in a huge flower pot in our great room, its about 4 feet tall, I grew it from a seed like 4 years ago.

Oh yeah and OSF your forgetting not everybody lives in a city or suburbs(sp?)

In my case the neighbors are nice and spread out and their back yards or even front yards are forests as well, so nobody is gonna trim anything. We are mountain people, lol

we have a damn stupid mulberry tree. it's so messy. it drops mulberries all over the ground, and they get tracked into the house, where they stick to the kitchen floor and stain the carpet. some of the other townhomes here have peach trees and stuff like that...i'm jealous of them.

OH my bad OSF, the only thing that sucks with neighbors is if u wake up and u look in ur window and a huge bull is looking back at you, then u know a fence is broken somewhere, hahaha.

    uh ... what?

    Bulls?

You know what you should do? Entice the thing with a nice hot steak (ironically)to the front door whilst hiding yourself near by in camoflauge then when the motherfucker goes down to grab a bite of it's mom jump on its back and ride it till it can't buck no more then jump off and stand still and it won't see you (cause of the camoflauge) then get your sibling to do it and see who can ride it the longest. And don't use the same steak or at least spice the steak differently so the stupid damned bull doesn't know or at least forgets that it was his mom he was about to eat. Come to think of it there is no way the bull would know if that steak was his mom or not if you cooked it past blue but respice it anyway.

    Ok?

There's a big magnolia tree in the front of the apartments I live in. And a few dogwoods. And many unidentifed trees. Lots of sperm trees, though I don't know which is the sperm trees. Does anyone know what I'm talking about... tree's that smell exactly like sperm. I guess the creater ran out of original smells and had to recycle?

we have a giant lemon bush, yes bush not tree, in our yard, which isn't really OUR yard because we rent, that doesn't come ripe until after the first frost. fits nicely with my own straingeness. there's also a bunch of miniature trees in my little garden for my train to run arround in that i keep bonasai'd, will let us say extremely hight trimmed, to call thatm bonasai is to be perhaps a bit loose with the terminology. there are quite a few fruit trees and also vegies grow on the property that surrounds us belonging to our land lord who always gives us some.

where i grew up, just about all the places i lived growing up, there were always trees like there were always cats. mostly yellow ('ponderosa') pine trees with a variety of black and scrub oak, manazanita, blackberry, poison oak, kit kit dizze, wild sweet pea, et c., even a few philberts and cedars.

Since I live in the redwoods, there are tons of trees around my apartment building. Besides the redwoods, there is a stand of Eucalyptus.
