After being off it for so long... will I get sick, or flip out?

Okay, so I have been off weed since I got home from college in May.

I'll be returning to college again in less than a month, where I will most likely start smoking again, although probably less often than I did at school this past year.

Anyway, this year past was my first year of smoking regularly, and it was pretty great overall. However, at the beginning of the year one of the nice things was that I got completely blasted after about 2 or 3 hits, so it was so nice and cheap. I was pretty much a "one hit wonder" for a while.

But one of the negative things was that I got paranoid SO easily. I mean, it didn't take much to freak me out. I even got a little sick once or twice.

But after not long I realized that it was all in my mind, that I wasn't going to hurt myself with it or die or any of that nonsense. I learned to control it, and that YOU decide how the weed makes you feel.

In fact, one time I got sick from smoking too much, but by then I knew that it was all in my mind and there was nothing to fear. So I went to the bathroom to throw up just a bit, and just laughed it off and enjoyed the rest of the night anyway.

So this was all very nice.... however, I'm wondering if since I've been off it so long, would returning to it make me get paranoid again really easily, or even sick again?

Was it really that it was all in my mind and I could control it, or was I just so used to smoking regularly that it didn't bother me anymore, didn't affect me as much?

Because I'd really hate to have to go through the whole cycle again. Being a complete lightweight that has to keep it down to a couple hits or get super paranoid.

I'd rather just be able to kind of pick up where I left off.

So basically, for anyone who has any experience, my question is...

Do you think after 3 months of no use, I will be have to go through the whole process of adjusting to it again...

Or is it like riding a bike- I've learned how to do it and how to do it right, and that will come back right away?

    hard to say...everyone reacts different...

it's possible that your tolerance will have dropped again, so it may be a case of back to being a "one hit wonder" until it builds (you lucky thing :D )...

just make sure yer've got plenty of sleep and are well fed and hydrated before you go back to it....then take it steady and enjoy :)

Hey I recently had to stop for about three months too after about a year of regular - I also used to be that kind of lightweight to it until I started doing it often and realizing all the same things. I figured I'd go back to that when I started again but I didn't really, I found myself a little more vulnerable to it but its pretty much the same deal.

Heh heh, the funny thing is that both times I got sick from it I had hardly had anything to eat all day, nor much to drink... I wonder how that correlates to making you sick?

Do you mean when you started again it was just like where you left off, but a little more vulnerable, or that you had to pretty much start the whole cycle again?

Man, I was off for about 2 months and smoked again. I did get sick, but I had to mow the lawn right after. So I'm pretty sure it was the heat that made me sick. You should be fine. Just take it easy and know that you won't get sick. It's all in the mind dude.

Same reason some folks get the munchies....yer stomach craves grub, but if yer got an empty belly you get an excess of stomach acid....cos yer belly wants munch and works on making as much space as possible, and if it's empty then all that acid ain't got nothing to do and nowhere to go but out
