I think that the first question should be:

"How many liberals/ demicrats" plan on seeing Farenheit 9/11"

There are alot of mixed opinions about Moore.

I do think of his as a fanatic, but I will see the movie, for kicks.

I don't care what anyone's particular views are on politics or Micheal Moore, I just feel that all people should see this film. I saw it yesterday and I will say it is not nearly the sensationalist film that Bowling for Columbine was. Even if 10% of his 'facts' in this film are accurate it is cause for alarm.

Even if I was opposed to Moore's political stance, I'd still see the film. He may be an ass, but he does make entertaining movies, in my opinion, politics aside.

    I agree.

It is a lot for someone to take in that has not been following independant news the past year.

If you questions his 'facts' then find out. I knew most of what the movie showed already, and I could see how people will think hes making it up or its his opinion, but really, our country seems to have been hijacked.

Everyone that's seen it, lets hear about your favorite parts.

I liked when one of the congressman was telling him that there is NO WAY they could actually read all the bills that came across their desk.

I also liked the army recruiters section. especially lying to the black kid, telling them that they need to get his info to take him off their list. Then they pat each other on the back for a job well done at getting that kids info so they can put him ON the list. LOL

    what a wonderful world!

My wife and I went to see it opening night, and there was a HUGE crowd at the theater, far more than I have ever seen for a political movie or documentary of any kind.

The movie is highly recommended, but there are few "bombshell revelations" in it, especially for anyone who reads the alternative press or is involved in the antiwar movement. Most of the material presented has been covered for months or years on Democracy Now, or in the pages of the Progressive, The Nation, or Z Magazine. But since most Americans get their news from Fox and the rest of the corporate media (who dutifully wave the flag and put out the official line), they might be in for a shock....:)

The one interesting and revealing piece I saw was the aftermath of the 2000 "election" in the US Congress. In the days after the election, members of the Congressional Black Caucus tried desperately to have complaints about illegal disenfranchisement of black voters in Florida investigated, but not ONE Senator would sign onto the proposal. And VP Al Gore (as president of the Senate), is shown repeatedly telling "uppity" black congresspeople to, in effect, "Sit Down and Shut Up", even when their charges could have been the KEY to overturning the Florida results. Apparently, Gore didn't WANT the presidency if it meant that he would owe his victory to people of color, and might actually be expected to DO SOMETHING to help them once in office.

That's why we have pirates. I'd rather help my buddy Tony on 81st then contribute to the Fatten Michael Moore's Ass Foundation.

I saw the movie yesterday. It was very good, I would suggest it to everyone. I am partial to Michael Moore, because i grew up in Flint too, and they definitely like to have recruiters all over Courtland Center Mall.

I'll see it for sure. I saw Bowling for Colmbine and I read Dude Where's my Country.

Disagree with the politics, and have low regard for his journalistic integrity, but still like the movies.

I saw the movie last night and I must say that I was impressed. Even if you disagree with the film's politics, you should still see it. It was entertaining and very nicely put together.

Yes, it is very biased, as are most documentaries that are trying to prove a point. It doesn't mean everything Moore says and presents should be taken as gospel. But, unlike Bowling for Columbine, most of what Moore presents in Fahrenheit 9/11 is indeed factual - at least based on the reading I have done and the information I have gathered.

Parts of the movie were downright funny, while other parts made me a bit angry at the whole situation over in Iraq and everything and everyone that lead us to it.

But like someone above said, this documentary offers little new information to informed audiences. But kudos to Moore for presenting a different side of the story that isn't covered by the media.

I am actually thinking about seeing this movie for a second time later on this week, even though I cringe at the thought of making Moore even richer than he already is.

As far as picking out my favorite parts, that's hard to do because so many of the clips were simply classic. Frankly, I could have done without Moore's voiceovers, but the footage itself was great. The part with Wolfowitz and the comb was hilarious, not to mention all the clips of the doofus and his crooked facial expressions.

Wow, if Rat liked it it must be pretty good judging from his earlier posts about Moore!
I saw that it was the number one grossing film this weekend with about 22 million. That has to be an encouraging sign to anyone who opposes Bush.

I'm definitly interested in seeing funny clips of G Dubya. I saw one where he was telling the press "we will win the war on terror" and then "now watch this drive" and hits a golf ball. It was hilarious, more funny than fiction.

Just buy tickets at the front to some other movie, and then walk into F 9/11. That's what I plan on doing.
