    I agree.

Furthermore, It is a sad fact that nowadays a worth of a person is almost defined by how promiscuous the person is.

I agree that strong independent minds can think for themselves. But sadly, society is a whole is one oversized stupid media controlled child.

I agree that it's also very much disrespected, I think that we are trying to get to the same idea with different words.

Can you really compare sex with eating and breathing? Typical bloody, horny male. You need to two of those to survive. Eating and breathing are the necessities, sex is an added extra. You should grow up :p

I think sex is overrated and I think about sex, but then, I think about sex intellectually.

And let's face it, children are exposed to sex in our society before they are intellectually prepared to take in such information, hence they use "knowledge about sex" as a licence to be promiscuous.

And yes, the media. Almost every advertisment now uses sex appeal, thus creating a merger of consumerism and overt sexuality. As consumerism continues to pervade our society, so will overt sexuality. While I concede that sexuality pervaded our thoughts long before modern times, they did not eclipse it completely, as society steered man away from it, now scoiety is steering man towards it.

  6. sex has pervaded society because it is a simple tool, just as religious and racial jokes are simple tools, simple people respond to them, and because the vast majority of people are simple you have broad appeal, it's simple, it's logical, it's somewhat sinister, if everything were considered a way (the way of the advertiser, the way of the sword the way of the porn director, the way of the horse and bot, that sort of thing) or an art then we would have this a lot less because people wouldn't go for the simplest tool, they would try to do something that was truly beautiful

but formulae and pattern, matrix and simplicity have gripped civilization, so here we are....... change it or live with it......

Sex isn't everthing. I think it's immature to think it is.

So you feel a "need" for sex, purely from a reproduction point of view is it?

If so, i apologise for calling you a typically horny male.

But, it's a person right not procreate. If people decide, years from now, that sex is not important ie: reproduction, then so be it. How do you know that we are meant to live forever?

What a tasteful person you are :H

You don't need sex to survive. It might make things more fun but it's not a survival skill buddy.

no indevidual needs sex to survive, but the species needs some indeviduals to have sex for the species to survive. I do think that the media makes a bit too big of a deal about sex, but, if done safely, a little more couldn't hurt anyone.

My lover and i have been insatiable together for ages. That said, i still believe that a statement like "you need sex to survive" is untrue.

    I'm human.
Often do I get horny...that doesn't mean I care about sex.

it's not a matter of appreciation, it's a matter of having sex for the sake of having sex

My lover and i have sex on average 3 times a day. If we suddenly stopped, we would have plenty in out partnership to make up happy and fulfilled. Being friends also gives you plenty of things to do. If too much emphasis is on sex, when you don't have it, imagine how hard (no pun) it is.
