    Damn this threads stupid.

North Africa has more rapes then anywhere on earth, and a lot of women there wear masks, so I think the theory falls apart right there.

Nobody 'asks' to be raped because there dressed provocatively, thats just retarded.

Some people might not think they're classy, but thats just a taste thing. I'm a huge fan of mini skirts. Straight up love 'em. [IMG]

Theres not even any evidence that people in mini skirts are more susceptable then other women. Rapists are predators that look for women who appear vulnerable, not for women that dress sexy.

All seems pretty clear to me, rapists are douchebags, miniskirts are great.

Have you ever seen the movie "Harold and Maude", well there is a scene in this movie that I particularly enjoy where Harold's mother sends him to their minister because it has been discovered that he (approximately 20 years-old) is in love with an 80 year-old woman (Maude). Harold is sitting in cold stark grey-white office, the camera view is slightly wide-angle and the low-level audio is squelched. The minister is in costume (collar, etc), he has a grey ashen look and has significant wiggling jowl action; he begins to speak to Harold and in paraphrase says, "this disgusting display of commingling of buttoks with... makes me want to vomit". Camera turns to Harold who is silent and wide-eyed as usual. Cut - next scene - Harold is sent to talk with his gung-ho one-armed, high-ranking in the military, uncle...

Eagle your post described the key to this, and, to add: fears that people have repressed or falsely justified; fears that are not dealt with by honest self-review end up being expressed in ways that are truly preverse. What I find particularly interesting is that there are a number of groups that try to keep out-of-sight what reminds them of what they are not dealing with. One clear litmus test for the varied nature of our behavoir is does the behavior actually harm someone; and is that someone looking when maybe they should be looking somwhere else, or dealing with what they a repressing; dealing honestly with what they are hiding from.

    HippieHillbilly,

Maybe your just doing the "guy thing" and have not reconciled with yourself as to what it really is and what it means to you; there's nothing, in and of itself, wrong with being horny. So it turns you on and that hurts; think of it like a massage that hurts but is good for you; use good discomfort to heal, to find yourself.

And may we see 10000 beautiful babes in miniskirts. Life is beautiful.

    Peace,

    23

P.S. Next I'll attached another post that I think you may find interesting.

i totaly forgot about this thread untill just now.. hippyhillbilly, you say people who wear miniskirts look like whores? don't you know butterfly bill? i see him in miniskirts all the time & i never thought he looked like a whore..lol..ok..maybe i thought he looked allitttle..odd.. but thats just his unique style..

isnt it funny how in 1 decade miniskirts were totaly acceptable & were everywhere.. but then the fasion indusry says skirts should be a bit longer & suddenly anyone who doesnt agree is labled a slut..
hhb..are all the girls runnin round the gathering nude or topless then superwhores? wha t abou hugger who you admire so much..i've never seen her wear ashirt..is she begging to be raped? or does she truly just like to be free & hug & love?\
you know youyr my brother..but on this issue you need to stop wondering about the motives of someone for wearrring that skirt..& start examining your motives for concidering them slutty.
molly..ya can hang out with me in a miniskirt..or nothin at all..& i'm not gonna be starin with a hardon..
just feel free to be confy any way ya wannwa be

This post was from a thread at another site relating to the Burning Man Festival. A man named Christopher said that the Burning Man Festival was bad and against 'God's Law'. Look closely at the response because it actually applies to the concept that facing and being honest with the self are important. Your supposition that beacuse someone wears a miniskirt that they are dressing "like a whore" is, in my humble opinion, a projection that has at it source your own fears. This is good because you are getting signals from the self saying "hey you have something to learn". So it turns you on, that's OK; and if it hurts that is another message from the self saying "hey you have something to learn" and that is good.

Part of the above mentioned thread:

    >From: Christopher
    >Status: U
    >
    >Have you ever read the bible.
    >Obviously not.
    >What did the Israelites do when Moses went on the mountian to pray.
    >They made a golden idol, and danced around it naked.
    >God was very upset with this.
    >It is one of the 10 commandments to make no idols before me(God).
    >I'll pray for all of your salvation.
    >Please wake up.
    >Believer in Christ,
    >-Chris

    Hello Christopher,
After reading what I wrote to you I realised that I needed to make a correction - here is the corrected email:

What a wonderful reality that Christopher and the rest of us are able to express our ideas, opinions, and are able to learn. In some places, in some realities, there are people, groups of people, who would hurt or end ones life for expressing an idea or opinion. The only way to learn is to have, at least, a sense of freedom about our ability to express ourselves. I have found that not pre-judging, not making a conclusion, about the 'ten thousand' experiences that we encounter everyday is actually difficult and is part of the art of living and learning; to have reserve and to lucidly experience is an art. And, this art requires one to have self-honesty and sincere want, possibly "need", to know the truth. I pose this question to Christopher: if a person had walked down the street in New York 150 years ago wearing some of the clothing that we wear today, say a 'bathing suit', they might very well have been killed. Does the fact that wearing this clothing would have been considered wrong and very bad make it actually wrong and bad ? And what if it were a situation where the afore mentioned person tried to not "inflict" their activity on others but, instead, had a "reasonably" private area were they would wear these clothes but someone found out and told the greater community about these activities going on in this "reasonably private area," do you think that these people wearing the unusual clothes would be left alone by the greater community ? I think they would have been "attacked" in primitive manner and possibly destroyed.

I am not saying that there is not truth, but, instead, I am trying to pose the idea that humans are extremely complex and varied; and, that finding the truth, finding new vistas, new realities, requires, sometimes, among other qualities, courage. This point is subtle to many people, and likely it would be "glossed over' by many as not significant. It is sometimes frightening thing "to not know." And people, often, will react to what they do not understand in a foolish manner and as if "they do understand" while not being fully conscious of the reality that they do not understand. Finding the protocols that facilitate productive, and good, communication and being open in order to gain a true understanding is an art; yet answers are readily available to us. Opening up to the reality, and having sincere respect, of the fact the human consciousnesses are widely varied is key to the survival and evolution of good and just groups of people - be it family, community or government. Christopher I suggest that you read Platos' Apology. I would like to hear from you.

    Peace my Friend,

    David

I think I "went a bit abstract" this morning, early morning rant. If you decide to read it there are some interesting related points. Ok, Ok, early morning mumbling. If you read the short one before the mumbling you'll get the gist.

miniskirts can be good, can be very good, but also bad (oh my god the FLAB),
some people can enjoy miniskirts, some are self-justifying bastards with no morals,
rape is always bad, rapists should be castrated, the end.

i think it's ridiculous to dress in an overtly sexual fashion and then get pissed off when the wrong guy finds you appealing. i'm truly not even all that hot, but i already get enough attention. put me in a miniskirt when i'm not pregnant, and i'm terribly uncomfortable with the entire thing. not because i think i'm a bad person or a slut, but because some people ttruly have NO SELF CONTROL. i know this, i understand this, and i deal with it. i don't think girls in very sexy clothing are sluts, obviously, but i DO think they're gambling rather a lot, and i hate gambling.
