Greetings; I have just started my first batch of clones and after a week the tips of the leaves are turning yellow. No sign of roots through the rockwool cubes as yet. I used rooting gel and misted the cuttings with 10% nutes for a bit and then switched to misting the inside of my grow dome with filtered water only. Is is normal for them to yellow? I've read somewhere on line that this can be a sign that the plant is devoting it's energy to making roots and that it is sometimes a good sign but I' m a little concerned. Any insights greatly appreciated. BTW-good forum, have picked up lots of good hints here. Cheers, Rufus
I've done thousands of clones, and have rarely had yellowing leaves during rooting. I have had clones that stayed green and even grew although they had no roots. What temps/lights/medium?
Temperature hovers in the 20 C range. Clones are in rockwool cubes under GloLux flourescents about 8" from light. Covered by clear plastic dome to help prevent dehydration. Any chance they are not getting enough light? Cheers, Rufus
I like to keep the flo's right above the dome. I don't have a conversion chart handy...how much in F is 20 C?
