Is it hip to be a hipster? Is that differnt from a full-on hippie?

    The only correct answer for that and like questions is your own individual answer.


    Hippie is of your heart, mind and soul. Non material, not what others physically see. imagine people, take all of their clothes off, jewelry etc. imagine all of them bald. Can you pick out the hippies??? Hippie is nothing material. It is individual. It is in each of our own minds as is everything else. It is the way we act, react, and interact! Only poseurs are captives of their own physical image and of how they perceive others will react to their personalities and choices of lifestyle.

    This is not to specifically answer your question but is my opinion of the common question.

    Being hip now is not the same as being a hippie. Actually, a hippie embodies the movement, culture and consciousness of the hippie movement. It is not about being current and trendy and fashionable.

    The term "Hippie" actually came from the beatnicks. It was the term they used to discribe wanna-be beat poets.
