The power of a flower

flower power... it is no joke.

my sis and i were out for a walk, we found some daisys and she picked one and carried it for a while. We stopped by a little store and got some water and she gave the flower to the old lady at the counter. SHe was was just so happy and said it was very special to her and put in a glass of water.

give a stranger a flower more often, it does make a difference.

i think it would make my day better if somebody just gave me a flower. Just out of the blue as they past me by.

i notice that when you just smile at someone as you walk by them they look happier than before.

 

Me and my friends picked flowers near our school like out of the gardens and stuff while skipping class then decided to go for a walk. We saw an older lady at a bus stop so I gave her the flowers. Her face lit up, she said thankyou, and we walked away. She kept watching us from a distance. I think we made her day.

i can remember when my boyfriend picked up some type of REALLY pretty flower (they grow wild around here) and put it in my hair.. eee!! i was so happy

 

Hello everyone. Im new here... ha, this is my first post!
But Yeah man, flowers really are power. My friend and I always wish some guy, or ne one, would come up to us randomly with a flower and say "here ya go beautiful" It hasnt happened, but we lighten up other peiple's day's by doing that!

bout 5 yrs ago.. whenever the rnc before the 1st bush fiasco which i wont reffer to as an election was here a kitchn started in a very bad crack nneieghbourhood 3 blocks from me.for 3-4 months they had gven away lirtaly a ton of produce every other day. & cooked for about 800 a day...the best yummy veggie food & just changed the vibe of the hood completely..


me & 2-3 pp created a garden there after they left the 1st time this was the oven..made the best pizzas l ever had in there..each took 2 minutes..we pumped em out like crazy
anyway we planted this garden ..from the rubble of a crumbling corner..hidden away..


the kids in the neighbourgood ..many of them theyre fathers died to drug volence..they were very closed off..& probly headed for trouble..in as really rough neighbourhood..but the garden became an island of serenity..& the kids got very incvolved & us with them..& these kids just bloomed with the flowers.. the garden became ..lots of love
the site onfortunately is out of date.. ;(

anyways that was few years ago.. its been wonderfull except last 2 years really cpuld use more energy put into it..if anyones passin through.. lol we got 2 firepits still its in the hood but ppl have set up tents & camped there even.. i've left my drum there for weeks & noone messed with it.. we got even more space to work with now.. a whole block.. but kinda needs more care
its a pretty damn cool lil spot .. when people are around doin stuff.. with all the craziness in the area..that 1 block just hasa good feeel..
is amazing what a flower will do
