Hi- Don't know if anyone reading went to Grassroots in Trumansburg, NY this past weekend, but I just gotta give props to the people running it. You all did a stellar job keeping the place up, I mean even the off site camping area porta-potties were pumped and steamed every day...great work if any of you see this. And to anyone who didn't go, try to get out next year...the bands they book are damn good, you get plenty of space to camp (at least off site), just a really well run good time.
Hey thank you very much trekster. I'm glad that you had a great weekend. I thought it was one of the best grassroots yet, especially since this past one was its 15th aniversry. Of course some things didn't go as smoothly as they could have. The code enforcement officers came along into the on site camping area and said that there needed to be at least five feet in between each tent between camp sites, so we had to have most of the on site campers cars move to off site parking, which also caused off site parking to fill up more than ever, even making us use our overflow lot. And there was one guy that O.D.'d in offsite. When Jason called for one cop, of course every one showed up shining their lights in this poor guys face, and probably made him feel a million times worse. 7 sheriffs, and one state trooper showed up when he called for one cop. But as usual the police did an awesome job at keeping the peace and order and helping keep all the cool heads safe from the angry drunks. I hope to see you there next year. By the way, I've recently been spending alot of time around Vestal, Endwell, Endicott, and Binghamton. Nice area. Drop me a line brother. Happy Trails Ryver
Hey, sorry to hear about the problems you all had, but you still put together one hell of an event. We had a great time, except for running from the grandstand bleachers during Sim Redmond's show which was so rudely interrupted by the lightning and downpour.
