I am so happy! After the last Dave Matthews Band concert that came to Colorado (The Pepsi Center...crappy venue for concerts) I never thought he would come back. Someone threw a hunting knife on stage during their performance. Well after two years, he will be back and no place better than on the Rocks. Tickets go on sale Saturday. I think the whole atmosphere at Red Rocks is made for music. Are there other venues that you guys know of where nature plays the main part in the sound that you hear? I know this place is legendary to so many rock bands and also techno music. The accoustics are amazing! Just thought I would get the word out. If you get a chance don't miss this show!
you should try to get in on a road trip to one in the states near you. NY, MA, and WI are all having shows very soon. Hang in there. Are there any really good venues in Michigan?
Ya, Pine Knob (now DTE) is a really big one, but there are also some others. MeadowBrook Music Theatre is probally the next biggest.
also in CO near Ft C, is the Mishawaka Amphitheatre. NM: Paolo Solari near Santa FE (on the Indian School grounds)
best show I ever saw there was Kodo. drums and the reverberations of teh rocks. For everyone who's lost on this, U2 filmed the "Under a Blood Red Sky" video there. all the fog is real...weird weather day!
Dave Matthews has a live CD from Red Rocks and Incubus has a DVD of their performance there as well Another unforgettable performance I have seen there included Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. As far as getting a chance to see this show. Chances are slim. I managed to get tickets but he sold out 3 nights in 30 minutes INSANE!
awesome, red rocks is beautiful..... I had my first expereince there with phil and friends just a week ago.... only problem I thought existed(not even a big deal AT all...) was the fact that the ground wasnt level*the stair-type seating*... kinda hard to weave in and out of the people, but then again thats just something I like to do... not every body does that
wait, we have to lose our show for you? Think about that. Some us are "goin' to church!" when we hit a show. We want to be lost in the music. We paid the same ticket you did.
lol relax... im not going to cause someone to have a bad time....... im just goofing around. I think there was a misunderstanding any way... I think of music in that sense as well, no different than you. by going through the audience, I ment just comming in contact with all different types of people.. I dont disturb anyone, I just have a good time with the people around me, that connection is awesome for me. I dunno I just like trying to be apart of it all... cant explain it, but I promise its not anything negative
