Once you have completed the form to submit your site, take a look at the Didgeridoo Links List and check to see whether or not you have a listing. If you mention in your email that you want one, and give the details of what type of listing you want, your site will be added to it. This is the most comprehensive list of didgeridoo-related links on the internet. Being listed on it will help to increase the traffic to your site.

I'd like a didj but I don't know how much they retail for in the UK. Any pointers/websites I should be aware of? I'm also interested in bongos/african drums and such.

make yer own, all yer need is a decent sized piece of bamboo from any hardware store.....a didgeridoo is only a hollow log afterall :)

Circular breathing is the key....practice blowing bubbles through a straw into a glass of water while breathing regularly through yer nose....after that it's just experimenting with different sounds :)

technically its not. bamboo didges are usually really bad quality. Getting one from a thicker natual wood has a better resination. also the thickness of the inside and the length of it all effects the pitch and tone of it and how easy it is to play.

you can also get hemp didges :D

Well yes, a serious player is eventually gonna search hard for one with the perfect resonance for them :) ...... just offering a cheap alternative ;)

    I have 2 didj's, 1 is made from oak (I think) & paid about £30 for it
the other is slightly more expensive & not sure what it's made from
but cost me £45 got £15 knocked off cos I played it realy well for the dude

but the later one sounds a lot better, gonna save for a realy good one,
mabe pay about £200 for one, but they can be way more expensive for the
    concert quality ones.

I started with a bamboo one didn't think much of it realy but just used it for
6 months to practice cos it was easy to play, then just got beter & better ones
    I've had a bout 4/5 didjers already

...I just checked out the shipping and it's £20 ukp on top of the £34.99 ukp price - what the fuck? I have emailed them to ask them if they have an offline shop or a solution as I can only really spare £20 to start with and therefor would be fucking up my living costs and food shopping for the month! Do you know of cheaper ones in the UK with less shipping costs - that £20 was for WITHIN the UK!

I used to see really cheap ones in Evolution if you've got one of those stores near you, they probably sell bamboo didge's as they're very light and really easy to play.....look around at any hippy/alternative/ethnic furniture place and you shouldn't have any probs.

My first didge was an old plastic gas pipe with a very large hole(!) so when I actually played a real didge I picked up circular breathing really quickly, infact, the first time I did it I was so excited I forgot how to do it!

I now have 4 didges......my first was made from Yew by an Aussie friend in Wales - he'd made it for himself but couldn't play it and I played it so well he gave it to me when he went back to Oz.........the 2nd was a cheapy one made by a guy locally, the third was imported (can't remember the wood) and the 4th I just fell in love with. I had a couple of friends come back from Oz after a year travelling there, they'd bought the didge from an Aborigine, my god it's a big bastard! It's beautifully painted and plays wonderfully. I think it's made from Eucalyptus but it was such a long time ago........

Anyway, enough of my indulgence! Swamps, I'd advise that you look out for other good players and try to learn some stuff from them. If you're really serious about progressing further, why not have lessons? Or check out the Didge festival in Devon in August.......
