registery

    how do i know what to delete from my reg:confused: it`s full of trail programs...........i was told if these are deleted from the registery you can download the same trail again after it has expired and you can download the trail again (is this correct)

    This depends on the program you use. (btw, it's "TRIAL" not Trail ;)). Some programs simply set a registry value to indicate whether the evaluation period has expired or not, but most programs have a more secure method to protect themselves. Which program are you talking about exactly?

    Go to Wilders Security Forums linked in that post and check out the thread I added. Follow the instructions in that thread, you'll be instructed to download a program , Hyjack This, running and posting the logfile at Wilders will remove any unused registry items that are not needed. They are great people there and know what they are doing. It may take a while for them to get to ya but they always get around to everyone!!

    I believe Lavasoft, the makers of AdAware, make a program called RegHance that automatically compares your registry entries with software you actually have installed and can clean it up a bit. ;)
