Wear whatever the hell you want. I wear flip-flops year-round but weather may not permit that where you are. I have some airwalks and know that they (and Vans) are most comfortable, so I say wear your Vans.
I agree, if you like vans and they're comfy, wear them! If people tell you you're a poser, tell them to worry about themselves and why they insist on making judgements about people based on what they wear, that's what I used to do, shuts them up pretty quick, hehe
just wear whatever the hell you WANT~ i like converse and closed toe birks for winter.....comfy. I had a pair of vans too that i wore alot but they were kind of heavy...felt like blocks on my feet.
shoes? who the hell caresabout shoes? if people are so concerned with ewhat ytyour wearrin.. then theyre lame & vane & not worth a second thought.. wear duct tape shoes.... wear big rubber swim fin thingies.. what the hells it mwtter if its confy? oh heresa fasion tip.. bind youyr feeyt from birt..till theyre so tiny u fall over & cant walk they do that ya know..all in the name of fassion.. ok..i refuse to tak to anyone who double knots theyre shoelaces thats how rediculouse it is to worry bout what shoesto wear..geez hugs
I love those big rubber swim flippers, I want a pair of those and a snorkel and goggles so I can wear it to the market and do underwater shopping :H who wants to come?!

I finally figured out what a "sk8r pozr" is! In actual English thats "skater poser". I think I am seriously in danger of dying from my extreme lack of coolness... I almost needed an interpreter.... cool kid to aging has-been. You live in Texas... wear sandles or whatever. It's not like you have a real actual winter with snow and inclimate weather. Or, U liv in Txs... wr sandels r whevea.
Funky, times have changed since when we was in middle school. I bought a pair of vans for $23 WAY back before they got popular.... I think I wore them for like 4-5 years, and everybody was like, WOW! Old School!!! all the time. I then bought a newer pair for $60+ and they fell apart in like 8 months... oh well. I wear my sandals in winter, with thick wool socks!!!
damn sandal that sucks.... i used to go to the vans outlet in SC and get them for $19 and now the outlet sells them for $50..... How can a discount outlet charge that much????
cuz EVERYBODY wants them... I remember when they were well known at all. They got big, and now the quality is not nearly as good and they are 4-5x more expensive!
i agree. wear whatever you want. I have 2 pairs of "skate" shoes and i wear them alot. well to work mostly cause we are not permitted to wear open toed shoes. I love them and i dont care what anyone says. I have etinies and dc shoes, and since it snows here in the winter they work out great. And i will continue to wear "skater" shoes because to me they are much more comfy then regular tennis shoes.
