Remember that senile olde lady in Mary Poppins who supposedly sold birdfeed for tuppence? The kids wanted to go to the park and give her their tuppence to feed the birds. Meanwhile she was halfway through giving up the profits to a bunch of worthless birds. Anybody ever been to the real thing in London. I have. There was this man there who was real strict about his inventory. Nobody got seed unless they paid their 10p. Sometimes a bird would try to land on the stand but the doode would just knock them off. I heard the government pulled the plug on that program. is that true? That wouldn't work here because Americans have hard-wired themselves to give leftover bread and potato chips(crisps) and not spend there change on seed. That's why the birds look sick and mal-nourished. Anyway on my way to pick up breakfast I saw a bag of Wise Cheese doodles sticking out of a trash, so I snagged it just so I can do a feeding. It was quite comical seeing a whole flock of pigeons come out of nowhere for some dam empty calories. I loved the way the round and puffy things bounced and rolled around whenever the pigeons pecked at it. Anyway that was how I got my therapy today.
Hmmm..I don't know about the program you're talking about. I do know that as a small child, I used to believe that if I looked hard enough into snow globes, I would see an old lady feeding the birds.
