    Does she want to sew her labia together or reconstruct her hymen. Girls can undergo a procedure to reconstruct their hymens, although it hardly seems worth it unless they are facing extreme social pressures to appear chaste.

    i know in some conservative cultures, if a single woman has been making love, they go to get their hymen sewn up so that their husbands will not reject them on observing their vaginas. It is important in some cultures that the woman bleeds when having sex the first time, symbolising the breaking of the hymen. If she doesnt achieve that, she would be abndoned by everyone she knows. (all this is what i heard from some relatives)
