Ok, I dont think anyone here hates shoes, I think everyone is just frustrated with the way they are treated in public (ex being thrown out of stores, being looked down on ect.) while if you wear shoes you are all ok even if you wear flip flops which are almost the same as being barefoot suddenly its ok.

Its just a general attitude that should not be. I mean everyone is different, some like to waer shoes, some dont, some like to sometimes and not other times, its all up to the person.
But look at it like this. What if you were in a store with your sandals and someone came up and said "Sir you can't be in here with sandals on" how would you feel about it? Probably not good.

So in general people here don't hate shoes, some just dont care for them and are frustrated with current conditions.

Personally I dont care for shoes because they get stinky and when you think about all the germs that build up inside a shoe vs the ones you pick up barefoot and can wash off it makes me sick. SO I dont like shoes AT ALL but sandals are ok but I prefer barefoot and only wear sandals if I need to go somewhere that will definately say no shoes no entry. I thew all my full closed shoes away a while ago because they stunk up my room.

But as far as other people go they have the right to do whatever they want and I would never look down on someone who wears shoes all the time or force them to go barefoot because thats their chioce, Too bad today people are all not like that since many people force others to wear shoes.

Myself I just can't survive with my feet covered up. They get unbearably hot and sweaty and smelly. I much prefer it without them. The shoes themselves aren't uncomfortable to wear, it's just that they cut off the air supply to my feet and so my feet can't stay cool.

In my long winter-short summer climate (Maine, US) I see shoes as what I need to protect my feet from extreme cold. The kind of cold we have here is nothing to mess with. That's what shoes are for, and not much else. The rest of the year I have little use for them, and I derive extreme pleasure from going without.

I think it's been demonstrated enough times the several ways shoes really aren't good for us (again, except when we really need them) and also it's been demonstrated enough times, to convince me, the health benefits of bare footing.

So for me it's a feel-good thing, a health thing, and a freedom thing. I HATE being told what to do with my own self, as in, "You have to wear shoes in here---" and that I must change.

The only thing I find shoes good for is protection against the extremities: cold, heat and unavoidable pokey stuff. Most of the time, you can just navigate around such hazards. Or, run to shorten the time of exposure...

The things I don't like about shoes are their tendency to make your feet stink, the lack of grip, their tendency to make balancing difficult, the way they displace the body and, most of all, the lack of sensation. I like to feel my environment with every footfall... it makes me feel more in tune with it and what not. Above all else, they are expensive and generally unnecessary. I don't think they are evil, I just don't see much use in them.

Personally I don’t hate shoes I just love feeling the earth under my feet, they are used for protection at work and that’s all. Luckily Australians are quite tolerant of barefooters its only when safety is an issue like pubs or work that they make you put them on. I do wish people would be a bit more tolerant, I still get looked down upon especially in the cities, but a good long pair of flairs and nobody is the wiser:)

    what's wrong with shoes ?

    in a word EVERYTHING

I hate the confining, uncomfortable, foot deforming and hot aspect that shoes are. other than that I don't mind not wearing them.

Same here. I'd just rather have my shoes and socks off off off! Beats shoes anyday.

  16. shoes are uncomfortable and I have flat feet......

Flip flops are almost acceptable but they still aren't 100%

Thongs (flip flops) are good because you can kick them off whenever you want.

Honestly they're no better than regular shoes (to me) but they are more convenient~

regular? Depends how often you wear them surely. Regularly wearing flip-flops is the same as regularly wearing shoes. In both cases the sole is covered so heat and sweat are both contained. Also sandals of all kinds which are based on the idea of thin strips or straps keeping the sandal on the foot are inevitably going to rub against the skin on the top of the foot and cause irritation. And they're incredibly impractical for anything beyond simple walking around - which to me renders them pointless. In fact the only benefit they have is that they satisfy nightclub dresscodes when bare feet don't. But then it's not that hard to find a club that will let you in anyway.

The only time I would WANT to wear shoes is when there is snow on the ground. I dont like them mostly because they seperate me from the earth. I hate that feeling. There also made of leather and I am against animal killing.
