    One of my redneck neighbors has a sign in his lawn that says: "BLACK DIRT FOR SALE" -- thank god he's not one of those low-class brown or reddish brown dirt dealers

    Her name is Satin. (Sa-teen) It is funny, the first time I took her to the vet, they kept calling her Satan. Every time they said it, they would give me a dirty look. Finally, I had to correct them.

    Odd how people often become paranoid in and of being locked to particular combination of sounds as having a particular meaning; when connecting with the world, with any person, I always try to see beyond my assumptions and be respectful. What if her name was Satan, I believe that if I were at that job I would be respectful, do my job, and not try to project such an assumption, as described by the "dirty look", on the person.


    Satin is a sweetie, clearly very loyal. Careful about feeding her regular dog food; a website that you might be interested in, oriented to cats but similar can be applied to dogs; read Natascha's "theory":
