i'd love to be a vegetarian as well, but i dont get enough protien as it is, and i am to much of a picky eater. Hopefully in the next few years i will get a better diet, and will find better things to eat then meat.
I became vegetarian (not totally vegan, I would still eat cheese), then went back to meat, then became vegetarian again for good. Eating meat seemed to make me get more cravings for unhealthy food such as potato chips. Plus, I couldn't drive by a field of cows and not feel sorry for the buggers.
I was a vegetarian for five years of my life. I made one single break a year from the vegetarian lifestyle on March 17th when I craved and had to have a corned beef sandwich (one year I opted for pastrami). I had tried ovo-lacto dieting, vegan, fruititarian, whole grains, macrobiotic, home grown organic vegetation and multiple combinations. What changed? I had an Italian American move in who is an "A" rated cook. He likes animal protein that is fat free and hates to cut up vegetables. So... I do the dicing and he does the BBQing.
been veggie for a year and a couple of months now, and i don't see myself going back to that. i am also a very strict vegetarian, approaching on vegan, but not quite there yet
