Thanx crum but im trying to warn everybody here about something that happen to me that can be avoided . . My collection of pictures got ruin becouse like an idiot i store it in a hot humid spot in the house and they all got ruin they got stuck together . normaly i dont cry but i came close. all my school friends pictures , my motocross racing , and some of my early street motorcycle racing got ruin . along with the mudding on my 3 wheeler honda . only a few survive 1 of them is me next to my yamaha 1100 jetski in a full wet suit "1997" "before digital cameras were cheap" so my advice is take lots of picture and store them in CD . the younger you start the more of your younger days you can record and maybe share with other later on. with digital cameras theres just no excuse not to do it. the funny thing is i had that collection since 1974.
when i lived at home my parents basement would flood all the time, right when i was about to move out they made me put all my boxes in the basement..and when i did the basement flooded and all my pictures, books, artwork, anything important to me was ruin and I did cry..I mean it sounds silly to cry over possesions but its more than that.. sorry about your stuff...
I take a LOT of pictures. I don't always write them to CD, but given how cheap HD's are, they are stored on 3 different ones, two in my tower and an external. I sleep well at night...
The you know how it feels . with digital stuff this would be much harder to happen unless the whole house burnt down.
i have a external but they go to if you leave them on all the time. recent a external i had was pull out and taken apart since it was cooking. im not sure if it was the internal PSU or the fact the little 45mm fan die. i ended puting it inside my PC. ALL my mp3 are there.
There were tons of pics of my kids I wished I still had. But either the roof looked and they got wet or stuck together. I've gotten some copies from relatives but not all my faves. I've also moved around so much that some pics get lost or left behind...never to be found again. My kids now love looking at old home movies (which we didn't start making till after I had my 4th kid) sometimes my oldest daughter who will be 23 in NOV will watch some and she has a hard time figuring out which toddler is which seeing as the kids all seemed to look alike till they got to a certain age...or she will have to bring me a pic to ask who it is. Its really funny to watch your 22 yr old on TV when she was in first grade.
oh that sucks! i've got all my pics on my pc but i lost my digi cam the other day.. so now i have to buy a new one..*sighs*
