I believe pretty much the exact opposite. Fighting for anything but an idea (most likely peace) is just fighting to benefit yourself, which therefor makes it selfish and completely wrong. However you can only fight for what you believe, you can't go into other countries and try to get them to believe it. If they ask for help, i think it makes it right, but since in iraq it seems like we're just fighting because of what our country thinks, that makes it wrong.
well war / fighint is always to benifit yourself even if its just for and idea, because you beleave in ideas that benifit you ( and if they dident in some way then why would you beleave in them?), you might not even realize them as selfish and the reason you ( government ) would help some one in a war is because it will help them, be it, resources, an alley, or international kudos
most conservatives (and psychopaths) tend to deal in absolutes. Give him a taste of his own medicine. Fire some back at him. eg. If you join the army you are a murderer. "no arguing outa that one. its a cold hard truth" etc etc. just repeat it back: you are a murderer you are a murderer you are a murderer and on and on If you vote for Bush you sanction mass slaughter of civilians for trade and profit. etc.
thats true, and that's why war is almost always wrong. However, when you are fighting for freedom or to escape from prosecution, thats probably the only time i would ever support a war. Of course this would be after you tried and failed with peaceful protesting, etc. and when you have no where else to turn.
Word but can you really fight for freedom, for example the way in general muslim women are treated from here it seems horrid, but from their pov its in there culture and nothing is really wrong with it( or atleast not as bad as we see it), and then we have idealistic infidels coming in to mess up there centeries old cultureal system because the outsiders say it is wrong, So embrace coke and McDonalds call it freedom, or get shot and i think i went off in left feild there... but yeh war ... it blows
I completely agree. I think it's if you think your being treated wrongly or not than it is your decision whether or not to do anything about it. I hate it when people think there standing up for somebody and cause trouble when nobody really asked for or wanted it. However, i do think that if somebody asks for help we should give it to them,(if it's for the right cause) and not just sit back and be like, "you're on your own, cause war is wrong." But when nobody asks for it and we just barge in and be like "don't worry, we're helping you," then it's wrong.
I don't think he was really bashing, and i'm not trying to bash on anybody either. Just telling my perspective
haha, good point, missed that, haha. Well i wasn't really trying to "bash" on anybody, but sorry if i came across doing so. You gotta specify or i'll just go on making a fool of myself , That Stupid in my names there for a reason
