yeah I love Espers, their album is amazing. Josephine Foster's albums as Born Heller and her one with The Supposed are really excellent too. She's playing one of our local pubs here in Sheffield in a couple of weeks so I'm gonna see that, should be nice seeing her in quite an intimate venue, I reckon her solo stuff is well suited to that.

im in love with devendra banharts music, so simple with wonderful lyrics. And how he sings is just great! i would give anything to see him in person.

I've listened to espers quite a bit as well, i like them alot to. that would be a good show.

Yea..I can't even tell you how much I love Devendra Banhart...just discovered him last April...his music is constantly in my head. When I hear it, it feels like I've heard it a thousand times before. I wanted to go to Edinburgh and see him..I spent a semester of college there. *sigh* One wonderful musician in a wonderful place...ah well

this thread should get more replies; he's really amazing :(

you know, pretty much the same bands are discussed on this board over and over for years! how everyone manages to stay on the same topic confuses me. not that i'm putting down people who listen to that same music.

but really, everyone should be open to more music.... and i think a lot of people here would love devendra if they gave him a chance! :)

I don't know him for so long, but I've heard his album Rejoicing in the hands, and I loved it. His voice is lovely and I love the way he tells stories by his music.

Little Yellow Spider is one of the best written songs to come out in about 30 years.

Has anyone looked into some of the people who sing with Devendra like Vashti Bunyan? I actually found Devendra because I heard a song by Vetiver on XPN, and I think Vetiver is Devendra's friend Andy somethin? Good music to chill to... Vashti sounds like Melanie a little bit, but I don't know if I could listen to song after song by her.

Vashti Bunyan's first album Just another Diamond Day is amazing, looking forward to her first proper full length album in 30 odd years which is coming very soon

im suprised that vashti bunyan is making another album, apparently she saw that her one album was a pretty big cult hit when she surfed the internet one day, then she started doing a bunch of songs with other artists such as devendra banhart and animal collective. I cant wait to hear her new album, should be very good. :)
