has anyone heard of bright eyes? conor oberst is such a poet; and I personally think you have to listen to the music a couple times before you can appreciate it, but it's good stuff. It seems to be really popular with 'emo' teens right now, however it's definitley an indirock selection. Some critics say he's like bob dylan, I dont really think so, but if you havent hear it you should check it out.
of course I've heard of him, and I think he's great! Conor may be not the best singer, but there is something special in his voice and it's great how he's telling stories in his songs. my favourite Bright Eyes song is Lua.
thats my favorite on that cd, me and my boy have been working up a rendition of "you will" from lifted only its a little more upbeat. again, with his voice I had to get use it, but I enjoy it much now.

he is a bit on the glum side, i wouldn't listen to him on a sunny summer dub day, but sometimes i just want to curl up under a blanket with a hot drink, stare outside at the winter day and listen to bright eyes. i love matching music to my mood
