Join us in the fight to stop global warming by signing the 'Project Thin Ice' pledge and you could spend a week on a Greenpeace ship tour as our ship, the Arctic Sunrise, sails down the East Coast of the United States promoting clean energy.

Project Thin Ice 2005 is a global campaign highlighting the dramatic impacts of global warming in the Arctic. We are working in communities around the world to ignite a clean energy revolution. Our ship, the Arctic Sunrise, will spend July sailing around southern Greenland documenting the impacts of global warming. This September, the ship will make its way down the East Coast of the United States where we will reveal the global warming impacts that our scientists have discovered in Greenland. You could earn a spot on this tour and help us promote solutions to our dirty energy addiction.

Take action to highlight the global warming crisis by signing the Project Thin Ice Pledge!

    The Pledge

I pledge to take steps with Greenpeace to fight global warming and call on President Bush, world leaders, Congress and my community to join the fight.

I hope that makes a diference, may just be prolonging the inevatable however, the world has been unstable for some 6 million years, with periodic ice ages, continues mass extinctions and a variety of sudden global changes. How much diference we are making, or can make, is still very much in questian. People do need to keep aware however, and better safe than sorry.
interestingly enough, should the globe warm up say even 3 degree there would be more life on the planet, it would be very bad for us, but good for the planet as a life bearing entity
