    slinking off the railroad tracks
    into the undergrowth
    verdant covered secrets

    to the edge
    where eddies live
    babbling gurgles siren song

    surface tension snaps
    merging with a source
    fluid meets my body

    following my flow
    steps against the stream
endless incarnations of nature's primal scream

    shifting through the liquid
    drifting jeweled whirlpools
shed like echos from my knees

    momentary levity, floating
    bouyed unlike land
    mediating gravity

    odonata orders thrive
    hetaerina's sanguine
    starburst celled wings

    where ripples greet the surface
    stones met the everpassing mix
behind, soft small stoned fish nests are found

    chalice overfilling
    gushing passion for such places
    gaia pours her metaphoric soup

    rising to a glacial boulder
    airing like a cormorant
    evapotranspiration exacts its fee

    returning to terra
    reflections on the water
    river catharsis clarity

I loved the dragonfly imagery. Clean and powerful flow throughout. Lots of spiral and water motions opened dream-like in astrally guided movements.

Great piece of work! I loved the imagery, it had a tangible nature to it, and combined with an excellent flow, a “spiraling down” feeling was created, as sylvan already described… a whirlpool, indeed!

Welcome to the forums! Looking forward to reading more of your work :)

a delta of time and space
the experience of another water nourishes
    to sooth my metaphysical tendrils
    exposed, resources funneled to defense,
    in the caustic concrete jungle

    Nord, Norte, North,
    black spruce bogs, acidic
sphagnum bedding, the underwater moss of Apam Napat
    Neptune's cosmic brother,
    father of such places
    soothed and warmed
    from glacial stances
to fuse with Her in time,
    gifting us today,
    terra's countless lakes

    empyrean with corvidae,
    numbers soaring plenty
each one to send me reeling,
    with an inner sparking grin,
i bow under this thankful dawning's eve,
    my rocking chair, it creeks,
as the boards upon the dock,
venus perched upon the crescent's lip,
    lingering for mere moments,
bisque in color, as it nears the water's edge
    from here onto the ear,
sky & surface, conjoined around the sound
    of echoed pulsing loon calls,
each, a silent cheer that peace is here.

Do you have a picture of Apam Napat,

    nie,
let me know if you find one.

interesting, of the three images that come up when Apam Napat is put into the google image search, one is a raven.

it can be such a gas, too..
my wakeful day started at 3:30am
    to rise for pre-dawn work
    lucious vapour beauty era
a shooting star before the sunrise

    arrival back this evening
    the transient residence,
    cabin set upon the lake,
met with a cackle of crows
    yacking on the beach
    growing curious of their continuance
i hopped up to the window
to catch them marauding a bald eagle
    about 20 feet from me
who had been scavaging on a washed up sucker,
    my commotion startled them all
eagle first in full feathered flight,
    quite large in stature,
I was nearly as suprised as they.
    Once departed, the corvidae inspected,
satisfied Eagle had left, they were content and moved
    along their way.

    After the sun had set
colors still bled along the clouded sky
    titan hues, blood-orange fires,
all mirrored perfect in a glasslike lake surface
    seriously asking, please shatter me
let me show you a bit of impermanence
i'll be translucid once again, merge with me
for a little, let yourself flow along my cusp
flow your tension into the surface, let those molecules be tense
while you go under, go deep,
and catalyze, like octopus ink mixing into clarity
so i swam along the surface
    paddling like a puppy
    mouth submerged
    nostril breathing
eyes at the peeling plane of mirror
    drip drop ripple reflections
    of glowing nuclear brilliance,
    firery pigmentation of the atmosphere
    curiously dancing on the water

then i toweled off and wrote this : )
