This is my first time growing, and im just doing it for fun cause i love plants and dont have the money to invest in equipment(lights, etc). i now have two little plants 10-15 days old. my plants receive no more than 5 hours of direct sunlight per day, which is what comes trough my bedrooms window, they are planted in regular soil, until now they are looking pretty healthy, and smelling nice, i really dont know what kind of weed it is, i just took some seeds from the weed you normally get here in rio de janeiro. My question is, will my plants develop and produce some near decent weed(if they turn of to be females, of course), or is this just a waste of time?
get some maricle grow and get them at least 12 hours of light a day. (they will go into the budding/flowering cycle a few weeks after you switch the light cycle to 12/12. thats 12 hours of light and 12 of dark.) most growers start plants on 18/6 so they will grow larger before inducing flowering....larger yields. are you able to buy a few flouro bulbs?
"Maricle grow" or Miracle grow doesn't provide a full spectum of "what mj needs" (0 magnesium) for one. And 18/6 does NOT provide better or faster growth than 24/0. Plants on 18/6 may appear to grow faster because they stretch more, looking for that light during the dark. 24/0 will produce equal if not more nodes, per days/weeks of vegging, but they will be closer together. 5 hours of direct sunlight isn't sufficient to produce quality mj plants.
colours...with proper care and quality nutes, it will grow better pot than the crap it came out of, "in most instances"

maricle grow is "bottom of the barrel" for mj cultivation. Yep, it is cheap, but as in most things, You get what you pay for AND "You reap what you sew" MG is very high in saltz, flucuates in ph, is very easy to OD on, and it's blue. he doesn't have to spend a lot, but needs to have what mj wants/needs/requires, and magnesium is an important micro for mj. Now, lime will provide some mag. so will greensand or epsom salts. I used MG as a beginner, and grew a crop or two that I felt was pretty good. But did encounter problems that stemmed from it, and "fixing" a wrong is often far more difficult for a novice than doing it right the first time.
Thanks for all the feedback, but you guys havent really answered my question. i mean, for example lets say that i planted two ganga seeds togheter with some other seeds like, tometoes, sequoia, whatever, any seed you can imagine. Just wanted to grow a plant, any plant. so now i have two beatiful 15 day old babies. i will continue taking care of them like normal plants, i dont want to buy anything except for maybe some of that miracle grow. Mi question is without giving it any special treatment(living it as it is), is it possible to produce a nearly decent weed. or it just doesnt work that way, cause my plant will be some kind of mutant freak and destroy us all without mercy??. Sorry, i got a little carried away for a slight moment.
In one word, no. More words: marijuana will not grow on a windowsill, or under 'regular' indoor light (incadescent). It needs to be outside in full sun or in a growroom under lots of lumens (of the correct spectrum). You plant will grow tall and spindly for maybe as long as a month and then keel over dead from lack of light.
grouchy. miracle grow works fine. there are half a dozen nutrients that mj needs. so instead of buying 6 dif. nutes. and yes i kno theyre found naturally. but its 18-50-18 ....
miracle grow is a harsh chem. nutrient that is missing essential ingredients. If you use miracle grow you have to add epsom salts. Miracle grow is the plant equivilent of AM/PM hot dogs. Can you live on AM/PM hot dogs? Well yeah, kinda, if you call that living.

Macro Nutrients (primary nutes) carbon (C) hydrogen (H) oxygen (O2) nitrogen (N) phosphorus (P) potassium (K) calcium (Ca) magnesium (Mg) sulfur (S) Micro Nutrients (Secondary nutes) Boron (B) Chlorine (Cl) copper (Cu) iron (Fe) Manganese (Mn) Zinc (Zn) Molybdenum (Mo) Miracle grow is similar to McDonalds burgers. It may fill the stomach, but it does NOT supply a full healthy diet. It's junkfood
explain how much all those nutrients r gonna cost. then look at the cost of maricle gro. and yes i understand its a chemical, there arent to many chemicals that r good for u. BUT for small time growers/beginners maricle grow is just fine. it will gro plants that r fat and lazy and on welfare. they also have hardattacks at 30. it may not grow a perfect plant. but hell for 5 bucks ill go with maricle time i hit it big
For $12-16 Rocketdude you can get a pint each of organic grow&bloom.The benefits there of will be ten fold as well as increased yield and far better taste.Ya dont think an extra $7-11 dollars is worth that piece of mind after all the work ya put into growing the ladies.
For five bucks I just bought a box of growmore natural fertilizers "flower and bloom" Dr earth also makes a good natural fertilizer that is also around five bucks. My flower and bloom is made from Bllod meal, bone meal, kelp meal, fish meal, dried poultry compost, cottonseed meal, alfalfa meal, feather meal, Calcium rock phosphate, and potassium sulfate Also 1.0% humic acid derived from leonardite, and 9 forms of endo/ ecto mycorrhizae. Blowws MG off the map for the same five bucks. You can grow in a windowsill- My bet is ranger never tried and is talking out his ass again. I have done it- dont expect much smoke- take it outside whenever you are home and can give it outside sunshine. Wintertime is best for window growing because of the slant of the sun comes in the window more hours a day. Move it from an east to west window in the afternoon. Do whatever you can to give it the most sun it can get. It should grow decent enough to teach you how to take care of a couple plants anyways. And the smoke from my window plant was very high quality, I lived in the anza borrego desert at the time. But I did make sure it got full days being outside, some nights too, it was not always in a window sill. Before halide lamps window sill growing was very poular in northern climates. The dutch craze started in windowboxes. Also places like ohio were popular for window box growing. This is recorded in hightimes third issue, buy it if ya dont believe me I was there.
For the last time tiedye, a window box is NOT a window sill. Ever seen a window box? I have several at my house, the biggest is 11 & 1/2" deep. They are on the outside of a house and project outwards. A window sill is on the inside of a house. Understand now? (Jeez) I did a search on window box grows; the only reference was to a G. Carlin COMEDY (operative word here : comedy) routine. It's possible to get some bud from a window BOX. Not much because of the limited soil depth. Window box's are for flowers and herbs; small plants. You can't get bud from a window SILL grow.

You see ranger- If you go to georges marijuana dot com at the old site , I had a few plants gowing in my windowsill just last year, meangreen was there he remembers. It can be done ,you just never tried it, admit it.Get it overwith.
