I got eaten up by chiggers the other day, and am wondering if someone could give me advice on how to make the itching stop. It is driving me mad. I have slept in two days. I called my doctor to ask what I coud put on the bites, and the nurse told me she would pull my file, talk it over with the doctor, and give me a call back the next day. How irritating.

Used to be something called Chigger Charm if my Memory hasn't failed me.

It worked exteremely well - prolly why it's not available...
...unless it contained 64% chlordane or any other Miracles of Modern Chemistry.

man that sucks well I don't know this might work but when I had poison ivy I used a lotion called calmie lotion to stop itching and it works!!!! It comes in a pink bottle and a clear one . You can get it at any cvs or pharmacy store and its cheap. Good luck man.[IMG]

nah man, hippiehillbilly has it right on the nose. those things don't simply bite you, a lot of times they'll get under your skin. literally. painting your skin up with clear nail polish over the bump where they are will clog up the pores right there and they wont be able to get enough oxygen to survive, basically. killing them stops it better than anything else. calamine lotion will help the itch, but it wont fix the cause!

course, i didn't learn this all from a reputable source, so who knows i could be wrong. in my experience this holds true though!

a friend of mine got a bad case of chiggers on her neck, camping the day before her high school graduation party. she went to the pharmacist, and like hippiehillbilly and nesta said, he told her to put clear nail polish on the bumps. they can't breath and they end up dying and falling out of your skin. she said it took a couple days but it worked.

maybe you can put the calamine lotion over the nail polish to help the itching. i hope you feel better and get rid of those little buggers.

Vagisil....I ASSURE You It Works, Although I Know How Strange It Sounds : ) A Friends' Mom Bought Me Some After A Camping Trip Where I Was Eaten Alive By NoSee'Em's~At First I Thought She Was Kidding, But It Was The Only Thing That Stopped The Itching (NoSee'Em Bites Are Terrible)...

Chiggers are filthy little buggers. You need some Off! Woods.
