hey I'm Kate...new here

Hey all!
Just thought I'd post an intro since I just found this great site...so many people that I feel I can relate to!....Im an almost 18 yr old hippy gal living in San Antonio, tx, ...I can't wait to find some like-minded people on here to chat with, I'm in such a crazy turning point in my life right now where if I dont get out of Texas soon I might go even crazier than I already am . I just wasn't made for these times I think, I think in the past 2 decades we've f-ed up this world so much it scares me. I really wish times were more peaceful, tolerant, and that it was easier to find people that believe in the same things I do! I'm obsessed w/ music, the Beatles, Doors, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchell, the Eagles, the Stones...I could go on & on but you get the gist .I love most music but find that most of the commercialized plastic crap ot there today isn't worth listening to..I write songs & poetry & I'm in the process of learning how to play my guitar & keyboard...well if anyone wants to chat just let me know!

Welcome to the group Katy!! I am SURE you are going to find some like-minded people in your area even... something to make your time in Texas more bearable. But, people are people everywhere and we have to be the ones to spread the word (and the love) to the ones that don't have it!!

I agree w/ you 100%. anyways, its so exciting for me to find more people i can relate to. ever since I was little I was always around wonderful hippy people so much older than me that influenced my views so much....my cool aging hippy mom thats still a kid at heart, my aunt & uncle that traveled as roadies for the Dead & was a ringer for their baseball team...but it drives me crazy that I can't find others around here to connect with as much....I can't wait to talk to everyone. peace nikki
