I wanna gauge my ears, but my left earlobe, the unpeirced one, has some sort of calcified globule in it or something. It's like a lil rock that's inside my earlobe. So uhhh.... can I gauge or do i have ta get this thing removed first?
i got my ear pierced in 5th grade then took it out and let it close up and had like a hard ball of scar tissue where the piercing was then i periced it again two years ago and gauged it and it was fine
I get those in my lobes from time to time...(i think I have one in my left lobe right now actually), but they go away by themselves so if by getting them removed you mean getting them surgically removed, I don't see the point. I find that firmly and frequently massaging the area helps them disappear faster. I'm no expert but I don't think it would interfere with gauging.
Well, if it's how you describe it (calcified globule), you'd have to get it removed first to do it right. Firstly, that'd get in the way of the piercing. Secondly, if you DID pierce through it, it would hurt a lot, and it may cause health problems (i.e. infections and whatnot). Talk to a doctor (or profressional piercer) first.
i have those sometimes. they are what you call cysts. ive also heard them called calcium buildup. i have a couple in my ear at a time... i got my ear lobes peirced with them in, and it didnt hurt any more or less or anything... i dont think it should be a problem. ask a peircer or something first though, im no doctor!
