I liked it that chef ramsey(sp) guy was a real ass and thats why i liked him...heh Im glad michael won though cause that other guy, meh just didnt really like him.. But it was interesting to watch...
It was prety good 'our version' .. I like gordon ramsey ..Harsh but fair and funny very fucking funny (did he swear a lot in your version ?.)..
yep, i liked it when hed yell at the customers and such.. Like if they came up and complained and such and he would tell them off..it was funny..
hahaha yeah we had jumped up c list celebrities for 'chefs' and 'customers' ..it was funny seeing those people being taken down a peg or two.
Don't get me started on Dewberry. A kitchen, though I've never worked in one, I have respect for. A kitchen is the LAST meritocracy. You can start in salads and end up a sous-chef or head chef if you've got the skill. But you need the skill. You can't bluff, sleep, or otherwise bullsh*t your way up the ladder. Flash that expensive diploma all you want but if you can't cook you will not survive. A kitchen is controlled, hot chaos. There's flames. There's timing and balance. There's temperaments, swearing, cut fingers, hurt feelings, nicknames, and feet that feel like raw bloody stumps at the end of a night. Dewberry would be TOSSED from any reasonable kitchen. He's lazy, disorganised and undependable. Ralph was robbed.
it was hillarious... some of those customers though were ruthless, like the people that ordered the pizza..what idiots, how about just leaving then, why do all of that, like your somebody or something.. or the chick that dumped her wine on the table, that was just ignorant..i
I liked ralphs restaruant idea alot, and thought it was better than Michaels, michaels seemed very cold and muesum like (michael was weird when he would talk to himself outside and such ) but i thought michael was probably a better cook, though cant say that cause i didnt taste their food.. dewberry basically passed out when he was on the last episode just cause he was standing there I really disliked that Jessica chick cause she was really annoying and shed always dig in her butt or pick on her feet..haha yummy!
I guess sitting in a place having a bit of food, cooked by amateurs on the telly is just to a hard concept to understand.. i guess it makes for better telly though.
No, in a Canadian Red Lobster. I was a busboy - but it showed me all the drama of the kitchen and the front of house. What I was about to say was, you ain't seen drama til you've seen how people act in restaurants. Some really big drunken guy one night threatened to toss his bottle of wine all over the floor unless the waitress slept with him. Our manager was just as big a guy, it turned into a gigantic brawl.
I watched a few episodes... I could never remember when it was on silly me. I did hate that blonde little bitch who made it to the third spot (I think it was third). What a whiney little thing, always whining for help. Gah, I did enjoy it though. That Ramsey guy was mean and horrible and it was funny to watch it happen to people I don't care about :X
Thing is, Michael didn't control his kitchen as well as Ralph did. Ralph also opted for a harder menu (steak) than his competitor (nouveau LA eatery) - and was saddled with guys like Dewberry. The fact that he got Dewberry on his feet and cooking properly won it for me. Mike got 4% more with a much easier menu and a better crew of people. Ralph got within 4% of that but with a much much bigger set of handicaps. Let's put it this way. I would have respected the guy coming in second at the 100m dash who happened to be carrying a 100lb barbell over his shoulders more than the winner who won with 2/10 of a second time better. But they went with the younger, hipper guy. Go figure. Ralph was robbed.
you must be talking about jessica I couldnt stand her at all either..haha i loved it when she asked Chef Ramsey to help her..he looked like he was going to shit a brick.. remember that guy that said he was having kidney stones and so forth and he even fished one out of the toilet, like its show and tell and such
I really got into it at the end.. I watched like the last 5 episodes.. I wish I started watching it sooner
Oooh, I loved that show. It was the first reality show I watched from begining to end. Elsie was my favorite person on the show, she was just a total sweetheart. Jessica was just.. unsanitary. I thought it was neat at the end when Michael was offered to study under Ramsay.
