i love films that have lots of storylines going on at once, then they all come together. for example pulp fiction, lock stock and two smoking barrels, snatch. also spoofs like scary movie 1,2,3 and 'hotshots part deux'
dude, right in the beginning of Pulp Fiction they tell you this is called "pulp" hence the name Pulp Fiction but anyways, yeah I really like Indie Films, Pulp Movies, Psychological movies, Philosophical movies, movies that are really confusing at first but clear up at the end (The Machinist is the best example of this), I like movies with symbolism in them alot, and cool camerawork (Sin City is best example of this), and I like really dramatic movies (Apollo 13 is best at this)
I watch everything that comes to my town and then some. However, I really get into indie films and foreign films.
i've only seen the last half of pulp fiction. gotta see the rest. damn i want that wallet. "bad mother fucker"
I like the foreign stuff too. Especially German (Herzog, Wenders, Tykwer), French (Jeunet), Japanese (Kitano, Anno) and East European (Tarr, Kusturica). Seems all the good American directors are dead. Or brain dead.
Horror (the "Hellraiser" series), War ("Blackhawk Down", "Platoon", "Patton"), History ("The Passion of the Christ", "Braveheart", "Troy"), Sports ("Remember the Titans", "Vision Quest", "Rudy"), Comedy (Jim Carrey, Jerry Lewis, Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, Martin Lawrence"), Western ("Dances with Wolves", "The Unforgiven"), and many more.
I love all kinds of different movies. I can watch allllmmmooost anything the only once I don't like are war related other than that I am all game.
I love horrors, mostly - not the ones that are really bloody but rather psychological horrors, that's the best... and the occasional comedy
i love horror movies, the dumber the better but not those stupid teen horror movies because why? Miike Takashi is the greatest director and pretty mush all of his movies are cool get em watched
Movies are my life. I adore them and will give just about any kind of movie a chance. That being said, I do have my preferences: -Horror -Stoner Comedies -Violent action flicks -End of the World (especially by aliens) movies -Old British Comedies -Anything Tim Burton's directed and... uh... Cheesey Musicals (ex. Gentleman Prefer Blondes, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hair, etc.):&
I love: A walk to remember, Hitch, Fantastic 4, Titanic, Serendipity, A cinderella story, Kate & Leopold, Maid in Manhattan, 50 first dates, Agent cody banks, Batman, Spiderman, Before sunset, Bewitched, Spanglish, Liar liar, Down to you, Freaky friday, Ghost, Harry Potter, Ice age, The incredibles, Just married, Kill bill, Miss congeniallity, Mr&Mrs smith, Son of the mask, Possession, X-men,Hollywood homicide, 40 days and 40 nights, Bachelor, Forrest gump, You've got mail, Sleepless in Seatle, Beautiful thing, and...............
the past few times ive rented foregin flicks ive got a couple not so good ones in my books...the Frech film "They Came Back" was ok, dull, but ok...i only wish i knew what was goign on with the dead people, i dont think they really explained what happend... and the czech film "Up and Down", it is semi-pulp, but the connections are unknown to the characters...the only thing i really liked about it was frants, the reformed soccer hooligan....but it was utterly the most racist movie i have ever seen, and that turned me off...although i think the racism had somethign to do with the characters and symbolism and stuff, but im not too sure... either way, i like a whole lot of movies, just not so much the mindless comedies [dukes, wedding crashers etc] or those new "haunted house"/far-fetched horrors that are now all coming out on dvd... [ring 1,2, grudge, hide and seek, boogyman, dark water, yadda yada yadda] mind you i have seen any of them, but i hated saw, and if people who liked saw hated those, im assuming im gonna not like em so much...
