They are both some of the greatest rock bands ever with some of the greatest drummers, guitarists, bassists, and singers around. If I had to give the edge to one of them itd be Led Zeppelin just because they put out so many great albums and The Who just put out a few.
no way, man. Led Zeppelin is probably the greatest rock band of all time, second only to the Beatles. The Who had their heyday in the 60's and in the 70's they slumped. Probably because Zeppelin was taking over the whole world from '70-'75. Also when the Who's drummer, Keith Moon, died, they kept going, and put out some very poor albums, when John Bonham died, Zeppelin felt it would be a disgrace to Bonzo to continue without him. In my opinion, The Who doesn't even come close to touching Zeppelin in any aspect.
all I know is that the who gives me orgasms and ledz is just a lotta noise cept how the west was won is def fucking heavy... stilll i'll take moon-era who over ledz anyday
The Who were much more prolific than Zeppelin, they made many more albums and the fact that Pete Townshend can sing well gives a valid reason how The Who had more depth. I mean, if you look at the 1st few shitty solo albums that Robert Plant put out and compared them to Petes solo work, there really is no valid way to say Zep was more anything than The Who. It is a matter of preference, I mean I love them both but have really been getting into The Who DVD's and that is why I started this thread, hopefully some people will check out some of the Who's live dvd's, they are truly awesome, even in 2002!
led zeppelin, by far. i think the who is really good, but overrated. zeppelin is a band that will transcend generations... the who has a few great songs but for the most part were mediocre.
