Any GBV fans here? I'm of the belief Robert Pollard can do no wrong. I eat up every thirty second fragment he has to offer.

 

I liked their records, but not their live shows.

 

You've seen them live? I only have once-- for free-- around the release of Half Smiles of the Decomposed in NYC.

 

I saw the original lineup in probably 1994, met Kim Deal there It wasn't bad actually, just very drunken...but they did go from one 1:30 length song into the next

Then I saw them in California in probably 2000 or 2001, when Cobra Verde was backing him up...it was outside during the day, and not so great

I think i like Under the Bushes....the best. I don't love every song, but the ones I like I can't get enough of.

 

I shit you not, he was my fourth grade math teacher!!!

 

i only know the song "Glad Girls". i saw the video back in 2001. very good video. i think i would like this band, they sound cool.
