I was thinking about things today and I do believe I'd like to become a spinster. Relationships are way too much trouble and I'd love to live without the pressing need of male companionship but I have no idea how one becomes a spinster. Is it possible to achieve this state of mind if one is not asexual? Is it more to do with a conscious choice to abolish deeply imprinted social pressures? How do you define spinster and are there any self-professed spinsters out there?
You might want to start out by getting a spinning wheel. I just don't think it is in human nature to want to be alone. Those able to do so without feeling some regret are probably very few and far between.
