Dave Dobbyn { http://www.davedobbyn.co.nz/ } New Zealand icon as Kiwi as the Fern most known for the songs Loyal, Whaling and of course from the Footrot Flats movie in 1986 {a cartoon by Murry Ball also very iconic portrayed a slice of Kiwi lifestyle} Slice of Heaven and You oughta be in love. My favourite album and title of my favourite song of his is the Optimist from 1984 its just so damn positive upbeat and bouncy how it talks of the Dr Optimist and when he makes a mistake at least he does it with style its like hey so you screwed up its cool no big deal. But I have all his albums and they are all so good there isn't a bad song by him to me. Anyone else here into him?

*If you want to know more click on the above link, also a good album to start with is Overnight Success which is his greatest hits, for the downloaders look for the songs I've mentioned as I'm afraid I don't know how easy his stuff is to download. I hope this post brings in other Dave Dobbyn fans and gets other people interested in his music who may otherwise have skimmed over or not heard of him.*

I'll be boring and say I love "Loyal" only cause it's pretty much our 2nd anthum for our country.
