screw guns.. thats what THEY want... they want us to act in violence so to keep us suppressed... we need nothing more than our voice and our beloved herb.... no one can take our voice from us no matter how hard they try... someone will always speak up
Well like all the great revolutions of the past you can't expect to fight those with guns with just your voice. It has never worked that way. MLK Jr. had the Black Panthers, Ghandi had Indian rebels, etc. As long as herb as illegal they will arrest you ass if you try to resist, J.A.C. and jail are two very unfun places. We can only keep the peace when we're not being threatened with violence. Now as far as guns go.. I'm not the biggest fan.. but like Zack from Rage said, "and by expressing our right to resist what did they do THEY FUCKING OPENED FIRE ON US. And I don't care what fucking television station says the violence was caused by people at the concert, those motherfuckers unloaded on the people in this crowd. And I think its rediculous considering none of us had rubber bullets, none of us had M-16s, none of us had billy clubs, none of us had face shields, all we had was our fists, our voices, our microphones, our guitars, our drums, and what not. And anytime we get beaten in the streets for protesting, we try and take it to the court system, and the court system doesn't want to hear it. Look what happened to Amadou Diallo, in New York, they shot that brother 41 times and let all four officers go. It's time for some new type of action in this country."
what about che guevara? His small army managed to overthrow an entire government and they had plenty of guns.
Guns are dumb. They aren't neccesary for revolution...unless it's a shotgun... "You are a sacred being of light, Projected into reality for a purpose, Demand the right to your moment, In this holographic gift with no rules, no borders, Except for those who you choose to accept and live by,"
"Guns are dumb. They aren't neccesary for revolution...unless it's a shotgun..." Give me ONE example where guns weren't necessary in revolution?? And as far as Che goes, you further proved my point when Che and Castro overthrew the Cuban government as rebels they had a small army with guns. Sure the Cuban government had more guns than Che's army but they still needed to resist with violence or else they would have been killed. Che believed strongly that peace should always be the first resort and I agree with him, he also felt that sometimes it was necessary to use violence like in the case of Cuba, and I feel that the time has come to stand up and fight otherwise we will continue to be incarcerated for a plant.
"It is a plant, not a demon It is a teacher, it is a healer. Roots within our mother's skin, One who gives... freely! Who are you, so full of lies? I am human, I'm alive! Who are you to dictate rights? What you see is not our sight! God made it, men use it, government put people in cages for it. God made it, men use it, government put people in cages for it. "

(btw spaz i'm gonna wake you up with fryin pan, bang on it like a mad g'damn gorilla, oh aw aw aw aw oooooogg) edit: well it's true that I was hammered this fine evening and let spaz have my acct for a little bit until I took back over and wrote the above. I can ramble alot, the KK do get me all riled up, and I still agree that guns aren't the real answer. It's easy to look at a traditional revolution in which you would be right, guns lots of em', but the vision is different in this case. It's really just about standing up and speaking up. I know alot of people who smoke yet won't say squat in a public setting. It's about seeing somebody getting busted and pulling the car over to be a witness and ask what's going on, it's about being informed and every time the subject comes up firing off knowledge, it's just about being a community again. I know that sounds rather weak in the face of what we face but the last thing we need is to re-enforce the stigma that stoners are evil people bent on destroying the world. Battles can be fought on many fronts. If it does come down to bullets at some point, so be it but maybe we can try the route of intillect first, dig? The average person has been conditioned to recieve 7 second sound bites and 30 seconds worth of information at a time. When Mark got pushed around by both Canadian and US coppers the news lasted like a day on the internet and we've yet to see anything about it on tv. We won't but we need to speak up. I'm not in college anymore because I got my degree but school is a great place to bring it up. A gov or social sciences class, "I have a question, what about Mark Emery? What about our federal govt stepping all over states rights in California? " etc... get people actually talking about it. Like I said, I know this sounds weak but it's the first step. Besides, the idea of a buncha stoners with guns kinda freaks me out.
Yeah, I dont see Kottonmouth Kings leading any revolutions... We should all just choose a liberal city/state and all emmigrate to it! Out of Norht America goes, Vancouver would be my thought. Violence begats violence, if we're the victims than more people will be compasionate to our cause once they see enough of the storm troopers in riot gear beating down on pacifists. If we fight back then it will only fule the media image of our cause being a danger to society.
Obviously Vancouver isn't going to work too well...U.S. seems to be able to push Canada around and arrest whoever the fuck they want.
