Who ever said humans were the ruling race on the planet was absolutely wrong. We are less than grass to microrganisims. They don't even take our overpopulation seriously. All of creation is a joke to them, and we are part of it.
A human living in the jungle (let's say) without any protection would certainly not do to well. Anyway, I agree with you, humans don't rule the planet at all. I love the wildness of the animals and such. But we have become stronger than most animals because of our brains which have allowed us to invent guns and things like computers. We are at the top of the food chain but we definetly don't rule the earth.
Humans and microorganisms are so different they shouldn't really be compared with traits like biomass to gauge their success. To understand humans success they must be compared to other macrofauna. No other terrestrial vertebrate compares with the success of humans or the impact they have had on the environment, particularly in displacing other large vertebrates. Call me biased but I find the dramatic evolutionary articulation of humans more impressive than the hardy simplicity of single cell life.
But they will just be doing what they have always done. Certainly bacteria are impressive....but monotonous.
you are all wrong......humans are the ultimate race on the planet.....we are the smartest, and therefore we are the ruling race.....its quite obvious actually to anyone who isnt stoned 24/7 FUCK YOU HIPPIES!!!! hahahahahaha
Your a dumbass if you think we are the smartest creature on this planet. You know that single cell organisms THOUGHT and made every little part of our body, now that takes true genius, and they did it without having to be taught. They did spend a few billion years on trial and error though. Also we know how stupid you are because A) "FUCK YOU HIPPIES!!!!" proves that your judgemental, which means your stupid. B) You've got nothing better to do than insult a bunch of people who you aren't even sure are hippies.
lol OK whatever you say mr biology!!! haha its called evolution....its a natural process.....but it required no "thought" whatsoever too bad its a fact that single-celled organisms dont "think"......as that takes an entire brain to do.......if u knew anything you would at least know that
Well then, they can do something can't they? You can take one cell from your body (you are a multi cell organism) and use it to close yourself. Each cell in your body contains the information on how to completely recreate your body. So if they can remember that, who says they can't think? Theres got to be a system that nobody has ever explored or realized. Maybe they don't feel emotions and I'm sure they don't think the way we do, but they do something. All a brain is is a bunch of wired up cells with nerves that shock to send signals. It starts with 1 cell. That 1 cell decides (to decide requires you to think) that it could function better if it was 2 cells, or maybe 2 billion cells. That 1 cell devides into 2, and then those 2 devide into 4 and so on. Some cells become fingernails to serve that purpose, or something else. They try different body parts but to make them they have to think how to make them, and if you think about how complex creatures body parts are then you'll understand how smart they are.
hey kid have you heard of something called DNA? NO? ok, go learn about it......until then, i wont dignify your post with a response longer than this..
