    SHOPPING LIST:
    INGREDIENTS:
    • 2 cups white sugar
    • 2/3 cup water
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
    • 2 drops red food coloring
    DIRECTIONS:
    1. Line a 7 x 7 inch pan with parchment or waxed paper. In a medium, heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat sugar and water gently, without boiling, until sugar has dissolved. Then, bring to a boil and cook until it reaches 240 degrees F/120 degrees C on a candy thermometer, or a little syrup dropped in a glass of cold water forms a soft ball.
    2. Remove from heat and immediately stir in vanilla and coconut. Continue stirring until mixture begins to thicken, 5 to 10 minutes.
    3. Pour half of the mixture into the prepared pan and level the surface with a knife or spatula. Tint the other half of the mixture by stirring in the food coloring. Pour the pink mixture on top of other layer, and level the surface. Press all down firmly with the back of a spoon and allow to harden. When firm, turn out of the pan, remove the paper and cut into squares with a sharp knife.
    :)

Do I need a new flange?

    Hi all,

I'm painting a bathroom and putting in a new layer of sheet vinyl atop a single existing one glued over a concrete subfloor. I removed the toilet and scraped off the wax ring from the toilet and flange. I then noticed that the plastic flange does not sit level on the floor. It seems as if the hole in which the drain pipe sits may be slightly larger than the circumference of the flange. So, there's a slight gap between the floor and flange at the rear and it indents into the sheet vinyl at the front. Otherwise, the flange doesn not appear to be cracked or damaged. Also, the existing sheet vinyl shows some signs of water intrusion beneath it (discoloration), particularly around the flange. Because I'm installing a loose-lay (glass-tac tape around the perimeter) sheet vinyl floor, I figured that the existing glued-down vinyl will act as a vapor barrier and preclude any additional discoloration in the new floor.

Anyway, should I be concerned about the state of the flange or simply just install a new wax ring and reset the toilet? Would it be a good idea to try to shim the indented portion of the flange to try to level it? Or should I just tear the flange out and start anew? (It appears to be glued to the drainpipe.)

Thanks, in advance, for any advice.

    Zonk

No, a mockery of pointless and often overly self indulgent posts.

Leaving threads are fine, but when they border on huge paragraphs of blabber they get a bit tenuous. What's wrong with "it's been great, you're all fairly cool, I've got to go concentrate on real life for a while, see you later you smelly bastards"?

I've thought about making a leaving thread when I occasionally bugger off for a while, but never done it. But if I did, I'd at least make sure it was a funny read. Well, as funny as I can get, at least.

The Value 2 bed range The Canvas mid range units are the Jubilee family. The 1999 Jubilee 28 is similar to the Festival but with an extra two feet of living space. The upgraded 2000 and 2001 Jubilee DL's offer the same space but with superior internal fittings and a semi open plan layout. These units are 28 or 29 feet long, ten feet wide and cost from £3,995. The Jubilee 28 ( 2 bed) >> ManufacturerWillerby>> ModelJubilee 28>> Dimensions28' x 10'>> Bedrooms2>> Prices from £3995 depending on age The popular Jubilee 28 sleeps up to 7. It has two bedrooms, an end lounge/dining room, and a traditional corridor kitchen with cooker (hob, grill and oven), and fridge-freezer. The sofa converts into a double bed, or two single beds if required. The double bedroom spans the full width of the mobile providing more space and is equipped with a hairdryer and wardrobe.

Don't be silly. Surely you've worked out by now that Trollhouse was just an alter-ego of Matthews?
