military tatoo, the most popular show there. its an annual thing where millitary people march and play bagpipes.

theres only the one thing, the rest is brilliant.

I went to see a great play at the traverse (well worth checking out) today, it was about what happened in the iraqi POW camps. It was called Human pyramids. Post if you see anything good, as im looking to see some good shows (comedy esp)

I'm going. Going to see my sister in a play with some others from Oxford Uni - Paula Vogel's how I learnt to drive - it's a play set in the bible belt and it's all about incest. Then there's my friend manda's dance company - the Glasgow Student Dance Company - www.gdsc.org.uk - and then I'm also going to see Jimmy Carr, Shazia Mirza, Omid Djalili, the Reduced Shakespeare Company and whatever else I can find while I'm out there. I'm there for just the one week, from the 15th to the 20th. Only my second time there. Went up 3 years ago to play in the festival with my county youth orchestra - that was really good fun. We got some good reviews and I also got to see Otis Lee Crenshaw. My one regret from that trip was I didn't manage to have a drink in Filthy McNasty's. No idea how good the pub actually is but I wanted to say I'd had a drink there, just for the name. So I'll be looking out for it this time.

Edinburgh's the only city i like in Britian

i dont really like citys but Edinburghs nice but i wouldnt want to live there
but its good i just live 30mins away so i come in there to see music events and go to the cinema all the time and go to college
but it is annoying sometimes as the last train is 23.03

anyway about the fringe theyve opened up the old odeon cinema on clerk street again woohooo
much better than those soleless ugly box like multyplexes with sticky floors
everyone who can go to see some films there as there showing some good old films
also if more and more people go it will hopefully bring out a company to take it over and run it full time rather than it being demolished
i mean this cinema is the only proppper cinema able to hold a propper premier as it can hold 1500 people at current and can be put back to its original size(they made shure of this when they originaly converted it) to hold 2000 people the next biggest cimena auditorium in Edinburgh is the multyplex ugc now cineworld which holds a mere 600 people
this is just not big enough to hold a decent premier in Edinburgh and we should be building up auditoriums like the old odeon clerk street cinema
i mean shaun connery brought the world premier of entrapment their which proves its worth
this cinema is an accet to the city and would be and ideal location as a base for the film festival headquarters
anyone who can go to the cinema which is called c electric and support this cause to keep a cinematic gem from being reduced to dust in order to build a block of flats then go you can see cool films like indiana jones the goonies the alien movies all sorts
    the website is www.cthefilm.com
    and www.cthefestival.com

the old odeon is a lovely building, even the bit bfore you go into the screens is massive. last yar it was the "pod deco" but that was really shit and it flopped. but seriously, anyone who is into jazz has to check out henries (its on morrison street)

7:35 tonight is the start of the free fringe pick or whatever, its on at The Canon's Gait pub, its on the royal mile. My mate Fergus is doing some stand up, its free, he'll be on some point this evening, and as many people as possible would be cool.
