Hello all, I'm new to this specific forum, and I wanted people's opinion. As a follower of Krsna conciousness, I inevitably read upon Sri Ramakrishna, the Hindu saint of the 1800's. I read a novel that basically stated that Ramakrishna was in fact a homoerotic pedophile. It went into great detail regarding why this is so. I feel it is fairly disrespectful. So, what is you're opinion on this book and idea?

Kindly paste links or sources that uphold your ridiculous claims without which they will be considered nothing but a passing rant

and I don't think I will ever read that book

but if you really want to know what people think about it

I really wonder how many births the author will need to wash off the sin of writing this book. Ramakrishna will surely forgive him as he was Lord himself. But what about the wrath of so many devotees.
Dont even attempt to look at this book. Its blasphemy. As somebody said rightly that the author is like a vulture soaring high, but is looking at filth (also one of Ramakrishna's saying). ---Aditya Namjoshi

One of the Shabbiest pieces of research I've seen in my life. It is full of so much misrepresentation and frankly dishonesty that one can conclude only one of the two outcomes, either Prof. Kripal has no insight into Indian thought or he is working towards his own agenda of looking at world from his own Freudian lens.

Such charges are easy to make and nearly impossible to refute. Anytime someone wants to discredit another person, this is the simplest means adopted. Once the charge ahs been made, even if it is disproved public still ends up having doubts in the back of their mind. It is sad.
