Right after a woman's period has ended is when she is most prone to having babies. I'm not sure where you got your idea from, but the week right after the period is when she will get knocked up the easiest. For people trying to have kids they do it alot right then and then they have what they affectionately call '2ww.' '2 week waiting' before seeing if she's pregnant. During the period is the best time if you don't want kids, but even then it's not sure.
