Nudity and it's acceptance both have very weird rules.

I've spent most of the last two days at the beach, and being someone who loves not wearing clothes, and someone who doesn't have any problem with "being seen naked", I had no problem changing into my swim shorts, then taking them off and taking a shower afterwards. But the whole thing is really weird, and I'll tell you why.

The nudity itself isn't weird, but the rules are. Outside of a locker room there's very, very few places where it's ok and totally completely normal to have bunches of naked people walking around. It's pretty contradictory and a bit odd to say "Cover your shame!" outside of a locker room, but inside everyone acts like, well, like they didn't just get totally naked infront of 20 other people.

And besides that, there's the way people act when they're pretending to not care that they're naked. Such as:

It seems that everyone always has an entire row of lockers to themselves because if someone's coming in looking for a place to change, they'll go up and down the whole place looking for an empty area so noone sees them. Outside of huge places like Disney World, it's rare to see more than one person changing in an entire section of lockers (unless it's a father and his sons, or a couple friends or something. And if it is a couple of friends they usually turn away from eachother)

If there's no empty places, or sometimes even if there is, I've noticed that half of them just change in the stalls.


Not that I walk around locker rooms staring at people (well, I do but that's not the point), but I just don't get what the big deal is. Why is it necessary to carry clothes in your arm with one thing that just happens to cover your genitals. Why is it necessary to walk up and down a locker room looking for a place to change when whoever's already changing there obviously doesn't have a problem being naked like you do? And wouldn't it infact be more comfortable changing infront of someone that's already naked? They're obviously not gonna make fun of you or anything, they're naked too... Wouldn't that be better than hiding in a corner hoping noone walks by?

Squares. Fuck all that shit. I didn't even take a towel to the shower. Walked their naked, walked out naked, went to the mirror and combed my hair naked. Maybe I should just start only going to nude beaches.

Oh, and p.s., I can't believe people still freak out when they notice I'm barefoot.

 

I dunno, mang. I've never understood it either. I love running around naked. Even some of my close friends get weirded out when I just strip down naked and change my clothes..

I make sure to get naked as often as possible. XD

 

Haha yeah, same. If they're keeping their boxers on (my friends mostly being dudes), they'll change infront of me and think nothing of it but when there's nudity involved there's locked doors and everything. I usually just say fuck it and do the same if they're that uncomfortable with it, I don't wanna make my friends feel weird ya know (but I'll call them nerds/squares/whatever on the way out lol).

I also don't get how guys can piss in urinals or pissing troffs (you know those big tubs that guys stand next to eachother and pee in), but I've had friends run to shut the door when they were pissing and I walked by, even though (due to the position of the toilets in almost all my friends houses) they're facing the wall... When I was younger I was a little weirded out by going infront of people, but I'm 19 now ya know? I've realized that it's NOT that big of a deal... and I wish I would have earlier.

 

Tch, I strip down naked and run around and do cartwheels for the sole purpose of freaking them out.

 

i love the freedom of being naked, but i havent yet worked up the courage to wander around in public naked. sure i have done in changing rooms and stuff, i mean like out in the street like that brazilian chick that stopped the traffic in rio or wherever.

And why not? Most american men probably have a smaller penis than you. If not smaller, the same size. Even most guys in pornos I see these days are around 5" or 7", unless they're really special productions or are specifically related to large dicks. Also, most men are aware that flaccidity is absolutely no indication of erect size, and that spontanious erections are not necessarily any indication of sexual arousal...

Every man in the world sees the same thing you do when he looks down. What's the big deal if they see it on someone else? And girls, well I doubt girls know as much about it as we do, but they will on a nude beach or camp or whatever, so don't worry about that. And even if they don't, who cares? The size of your penis really shouldn't matter to anyone except the person/people you're screwing, and it should only matter as far as whether they enjoy it or not, not whether it's rediculously huge.

Hope I atleast helped somewhat. Go get naked and swim a little. Hell, get naked and swim a lot. With some friends. Some chicks too.
(Note: Just because Nudism is definitely not sexually geared, doesn't mean you can't still have some dirty fun when you're naked. Hence the chicks )

As for your second comment/question, that's easy. YES, I have been swimming naked all my life, wherever it's OK to do it, and even a few places where it's not so OK. We were just at our cabin in the Maine woods, and that is one of the places it is OK. While we don't go out of our way to exhibit ourselves, in fact, we're rather quiet about it, but neither do we run and hide when someone comes by on land or by boat.

As you may have guessed, it feels wonderful, almost the best thing ever. I remember that from when I was a tiny child, and the feeling is just as good now. Also, it feels incredibly good to let the sun and wind dry you off when you get out. We were just out there and yesterday was probably the peak day for warm water swimming in our short summer. The lakes will lose heat rapidly near the end of August---

 

Dorms at LMU - The showers in the bathrooms are only seperated by shower curtains, me n my friends will open the curtains and all shower together its great but most people dont get it.
