I am not the least bit surprised. Factory farming is not only disgusting and horrible, but it is also extremely damaging to the environment. It's sad that there are so many people that simply don't even care.
but meat is just so tasty, i could never give it up. maybe if i just eat chickens or lower in the food chain ill be making a difference?

no really. chickens are smaller and lower in the food chain... therefore they absorb lest pesticides and make less pollution and are consequently a tiiiny bit healthier for you and this world. it would make sense if i were an environmentalist meat-eater to eat more chicken or turkey or something smaller than a pig or a cow.
