New Area...Price/Quality Questions

I'm new to the forums, but plan on being active on them.


Anyways, I just moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to take some college courses and to get out on my own. I'm 18 and I originally lived in a tiny ass town in northern Michigan.


I've been looking for hook-ups and have talked to a couple of people I work with.


1: $50 an 8th....but he tells me he only deals with the chron.

2: $30 for 1/4 bag. Says its a step up from commercial bud.


I came from a town with not too much variety. Getting what I believe would be considered commercial bud (some seeds, not brown, not upper) for $25 an 8th.


Do these prices sound reasonable? I personally find that the $50 an 8th is too much money for me to spend at this point...chronic or not. But, coming from a town when a 1/4 would cost me at least $50-$60...and now being offered some for $30....Would I be getting some straight-up schwag?


Like I said, I'm told it's comparable to commercial...Sound legit?


Also...one last question.


Where could I find a cheap scale? Like something to hang off my carkeys...nothing digital.

Well, in my area I can get a 1/4 of mersh for $25, and a quarter of chronic for $40. Don't let the word 'mersh' throw you off, it's good weed. Sometimes it depends on who you get it from, but it's always worked for me, and I love it.

I'd split your money. Buy an 8th of the stuff he's selling for $30 a 1/4, and get $15 worth of chronic. Don't know how much that'd be, but then you could compare the two. I'm sure the chronic will blow the other one out of the water, but it's a good way to see the difference in quality as well as seeing if the low-priced shit is even worth it the next time around.


But, before you buy any of it at all, tell the guy you want a sample of it. Tell him you're new around here and you just want to know how it smokes and everything before you spend a sum of money that's substantial to you. They should understand, and if they don't, you should get a new dealer.


As for the little scale, I'd try a bait and tackle shop. Either that or a hardware stor of some sort.

 

office max has small ones like you're lookin for. sometime they keep them behind the counter because they know that's what kids buy em for, so you might have to ask. but they should only be like 5 bucks.

 

Do what you want, just dont give him the money to go get it, once u do that, ur garunteed he'll never come back. Ive expierienced this last weekend,altho got some kool glass pipes outta it, which I have yet to post pictures of.

 

well it depends on what you used to smoke/have smoked in the past i'd say...

if you know you have smoked some good shit before, try out the 1/4 and see how it compares, if you don't know if you have or haven't smoked chron, buy the eighth and see if its much better than what you used to smoke, and then buy the mids to try them out...
