Jennings was a great reporter and achieved a lot more than the dipshits on these boards realize. It's too bad, and I don't think network news will ever recover in wake of cable and internet news and losing all of the major anchors in the space of a year or so.

 

this is sad, my sister and i were talking about peter jennings this evening, and we both were like, "well damn, who is going to help us thru the next national disaster." not that he helped but he was always there reporting to us. he had a very comforting voice.
